  1. I'm astonished that Murray has looked at that squad and decided that only 3 players haven't been good enough this season. He can't really have offered Dougie Hill a new contract?
  2. He must've only been about 50. Sad news, that's him and Ronnie Coyle gone from the 92-93 promotion team now
  3. Probably best to wait and find out more details regarding the proposed breakaway. I've got my season ticket already though so I'll be there next season regardless.
  4. Not surprised Malone is away. Although he's played most of the season he's been an inferior left back to Dyer. You would have to think that next season might be Donaldson's big chance.
  5. I must admit 12 assists is more than I expected. He did start of the season well but his form has tailed off significantly. The only decent games I've seen him have in 2013 were the Partick and Morton games where he played a different role in the 3-5-2 formation. If Murray pursued that formation next season I could be persuaded to keep him. Spence misses too many one on ones for my liking. A couple of months ago I would have had him in the must keep list but he's played pretty poorly the last few games I've been to.
  6. Thinking about our current squad, and assuming Mensing, Graham and Cardle leave, the only players I'd be busting a gut to keep would be McGurn and Thomson. I'd probably hold onto Spence, Clarke and Laidlaw but wouldn't be that bothered if they leave. The rest would be surplus to requirements. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  7. I'll be disappointed if we offer Grant Anderson a contract. He's a headless chicken most of the time and not up to 1st division standard. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  8. Murray now has a chance to put a squad together with players that suit his favoured formation (whatever that may be).
  9. Who can actually say they'll be that surprised if Dunfermline do start hoovering up players like Spence? This sort of thing has been on the cards ever since administration was achieved. They'll be back as brass necked as ever next season.
  10. There's no doubt this season has been a hard watch most of the time, but £200 is a reasonable price. I'll definitely renew my season ticket at that price. Hopefully we get a take up similar to last season.
  11. I'd take 7th place again next season. It'll be a tough league.
  12. Graham will never hack it in the SPL. He'll be even worse than Baird.
  13. Ideally I would keep McGurn, Laidlaw, Donaldson, Mensing, Ellis, Thomson, Spence, Graham, Clarke and Cardle. I can't see Mensing, Graham or Cardle signing up so that leaves only 7 players seeing in next season with us. The rest either don't perform often enough, or just don't perform full stop. 14. The biggest disappointment for me this season has been the attitude of the players. They've upped their game against the better teams and also when it looked like we might be dragged into the play off positions. The rest of the time they look like they can't be bothered. Total clear out required in the summer.
  15. What's that saying about stones and glass houses again?? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  16. If it's who I think it is his shouts can often be heard during a match. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Pie & Bovril mobile app
  17. I can't imagine that signing him for the last 6 weeks of the season will cost us more than £3-4k. He should be a great signing. I can't imagine him signing up beyond the summer but maybe if he enjoys the next few weeks he might be tempted to do so.
  18. To be fair to the board, are minimum prices for each division not set by the SFL.
  19. Two year contract I think. We need a 15-20 point deduction for Dunfermline to give us some breathing space. Or reconstruction of the league.
  20. I'm inclined to agree. If we stay up this season we'll be one of the favourites to go down next season. Maybe Murray will make the required changes in the summer but I wouldn't bet on it.
  21. "Everything will be done to ensure a rapid return to normality" Another do or die shot at promotion next season then.
  22. You just know that come next season the pars will still be a first division club, debt free and have a potentially title winning squad. Just like Dundee. The whole thing is sickening.
