Only announced today geezerWish I had known this before buying tickets for W. H. Lung in Glasgow the same night, since the venue hadn't been upgraded for that gig. Didn't get Glasgow tickets because I'd already got tickets for Priests the same night. Oh well.0 -
The Beths in Edinburgh has been slightly upgraded from S Pete's to the Mash House. More tickets might go on sale I imagine.

I reckon that's why it's there as a palette-cleanser. Quite a one-paced album without it. I like Fitter Happier tbh. Is there an 'instrumental' of it anyplace?
I would skip Karma Police 100/100 times but Electioneering has quite cool Rickenbacker-y tones for a bit of interest. Don't love it tho. Know what: they should've kept Permanent Daylight back to use in its place. Might do a nerd spotify list that substitutes it to confirm that i'm correct yeah?

I was at it a wee bit with ok Computer, obviously not gash but there is some ploddy slop on there, like Karma Police which is totally embarrassing.
Everyone that sings along at gigs -> gulag0 -

https://www.filmhousecinema.com/showing/wedding-present-something-left-behindAye, Peel was a big fan. Cinerama too, bless him. The Weddoes have written a ton of catchy tunes over the last 30+ years. Can't wait!
Maybe this is of interest? Friday.1 -
RB has been a huge issue all season and the CBs have their flaws but a lot of the points we've have been down to getting hit on the break through a midfield that doesn't recover. Matthews sitting on the bench watching that has been a mistake IMO. Wedderburn is prettier on the ball but can't cover the ground when we're counter attacked.

Piggybacking here but adding, not hollywood films ideallyOn the subject of film podcasts:
I used to love the Kermode & Mayo film review podcast, because it was 30-45 minutes long. Straight into the 'top ten' and then the reviews. I rarely agreed with Kermode but always enjoyed his opinions.
That was about 8-10 years ago though. I can't be doing with the current two-hour format, because it's way too long and I've got a string of other shows during the week that I want to listen to. I don't particularly want to hear from the directors or actors on the promotional stuff, and I have no idea where the content I want is to skip to. There are no show notes to state where the segments are, so I just give up on it and work by Rotten Tomatoes.
Any recommendations for similar podcasts of succinct current film reviews? Does the Jonathan Ross one do that?0 -
Got to appreciate that he did keep positivity going at the club, was a great influence on morale among the fans, but trying to shoehorn that into a managerial candidate is not sensible. He's behind Cuthbert in the queue and that's someone who drew v montrose with nisbet at wing back.

I'll always leave the door open for that but the new one is, shock, pish. Just Being Honest was passableAt which point Weezer will bring out the Purple album in six months time and it'll be full of power pop punk perfection like the good old days.0 -
Nicole is married to guid laddie from GlenrothesStation to Station is a stunning album as is Heroes.
Cover version of Heroes by Nicole Atkins (with Postmodern Jukebox) is just brilliant.0 -
Get bbq at Stubbs m888This time in two weeks I’ll be in Austin for SxSW. Currently on my agenda: Lee Bains III and the Glory Fires, Steve Earle, The Beths, Black Midi, Charley Bliss, Seratones, Robert Ellis, The Nude Party, Laura Jane Grace, White Denim, Broken Social Scene, Virgin Pool, Jealous of the Birds, Fontaine’s DC and the Chills. And that’s just day 1.1 -
Sound & Vision. Modern Love has started sounding extra good somehow too.
I started getting into him around Hours just as if he was any 'current' artist and only went to the classics later. Afraid of Americans is good.0 -
I found it a curious listen because of how faithful they are not just to the original arrangements but to exact timbres. The Weezer i like i know really well, but other stuff has passed me by completely so i might not be in on a joke. What are they doing this for?

The part time debate is aflame on tbe match thread and arbroath people are here on the rovers thread. Absolute insanity lads.
If we went part time and got promoted - which is the target every season - what next? Go full time with players that don't want to? Or stay part time and flounder?
There is no point in us gearing everything towards promotion in the short term and then being back here 'in crisis' in two years.
Our aim has to be promotion with some kind of momentum and continuity towarda mid-table above.
Yes it's pish just now. Go for a walk or watch a film. Calm down though ffs.3 -
About the back four, he might prefer experience, he might prefer continuity, but we're only talking about 3 individuals here and maybe it's solely about them and their strengths/weaknesses?

I don't know what neo liberal or marxist means
Died on your arse there mate. RIP2 -
There's a boy on the rrfc thread trying to shoe horn in a load of jordan peterson type patter to explain why some fellow fans still stick by John McGlynn... it's quite a spectacle. Someone getting called a 'neoliberal marxist' being maybe the weirdest and stupidest turn the thread's taken. Kind of like calling someone bad good or big small.
What it's got to do with football in league one is beyond me1
