Fantastic break. 2 frames in a row for Selby both coming off mistakes by Brecel. Big frame coming up next, big difference between a 1 frame or 3 frame lead overnight.

Yet again the commentary team are fawning over Saint Harry during Spuds latest capitulation. "He deserves better" apparently, as if he isn't actually the captain of this shower of shite. It appears they haven't given any consideration to the fact that he might be part of the problem rather than somehow an innocent victim of it.

6-2 at the end of the session, Brecel looking good and taking most of the chances thar came his way. You do feel he has to win most frames in one visit though as even if he gets 50-60 points up you expect Selby to shitfest his way back into it.

Brecel into a 3-0 lead, Selby missing a black off it's spot and Brecel steps in and cleans up.

As mentioned last night, Selby seemed to have himself tied up in knots by over thinking almost every shot. Bizarrely, he seemed to have a moment of clarity in the final frame and fairly quickly rolled in a decent sized break to pile the pressure onto Mark Allen. Will be interesting to see how knackered Selby looks as I would presume he would still have had to do press stuff after the match last night.

Scotland's men and women both ended up with silver medals in the world senior curling championships, both losing to Canada. The men lost 7-2 and the women 8-4.

Agree with Hendry with his thoughts that Selby has fried his own brain by overthinking almost every shot.

Been excellent. Fair play to the women, they've had some very tough years but their hard work is starting to pay off.

Selby starting to get into a groove, Allen getting chances but not taking them.
