  2. Yep, the text message he sent Sergio saying that the PGA Tour couldn't ban anyone for a day never mind life was included in the court papers. It was a strange comment for Norman to make as it seems to be fairly common knowledge that some players have served bans in the past that the PGA Tour kept under the radar. I know a lot of sportsmen aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer, but there seem to be a lot of players who have only listened to the bits they wanted to hear.
  3. Don't think so, the court judgement allows them still to play while the appeal process against their suspension plays out.
  4. Just struck me today that Richard Bland was playing in the DP World Tour event, checking back this is the first time he has played since joining LIV. Unsurprisingly Poulter (and Harding) have been nowhere to be seen since their court action allowed them to play in the Scottish Open. The third player was Otaguie who played the Hero and Cazoo opens but gives this week a pass.
  5. Posted further up, Hamilton, Ontario is keen on hosting 2030.

  7. UAE are 69-4 after 17 overs in reply.
  8. You just know loads of these players have seen the cash, and signed up for LIV without realising what they have signed up to.

  10. Basically the judge told the players they were aware of the potential consequences of joining LIV, and they have been very well compensated for doing so.
  11. And the proposed date for a trial is a year away. They will be nowhere in the rankings by then.
  12. Jessica Ennis Hill's former coach banned for life. https://news.sky.com/story/former-uk-athletics-coach-toni-minichiello-banned-for-life-for-sexually-inappropriate-behaviour-12669021
  13. Like most things he says, I assumed this was the usual bollocks from Mourinho, but the longer the utter bin fire at Man Utd continues the more accurate it looks.
  14. A few changes to the OWGR that kick in right away. Strength of field will now be calculated on all the players in the field, rather than just the highest 50 in the rankings. Any player who makes a cut will now also get ranking points. A lot of players up in arms about the difference in points on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour this week. Its like comparing apples and pears though, as the PGA start their playoff swing with a very strong field, while the DP World Tour has the iSPS Handa mixed event.
  15. Hamilton, Ontario seem to be favourite to host the 2030 games. Noticed the 2026 edition will be held in March. It's obviously an expensive business to host a games, even if you already have the majority of the facilities in place. Birmingham made the right call with things like the cycling by using the London velodrome. Talk on the radio this morning of a potential bid to host the 2040 Olympics.

  17. Scotland take the bronze in the squash men's doubles. Delighted for Reid and Heatly earlier, especially Heatly who had three 4th place finishes in individual events.
  18. Scotland v Malaysia in the squash men's doubles bronze medal match about to start.

  20. Mental decision, especially at a course with so many great holes as Muirfield does. I suppose part of it is to do with crowd control, but the crowd was visibly dwindling with every trip down 18.
