My missus started a new job last year along with another girl in their team, and there only is 5 folk in total. As well as only getting to know their new colleagues over zoom, they've also missed out on a lot of the normal training and integration as every time they have a query then they have to fire off an email or make a phone call, instead of just being able to ask somebody in the same room. They were on the verge of going in at least 2 days a week when Omicron hit and the panic button was pressed and 100% home working stayed in place. Similar tale for my sis in law, she is a civil servant, and although it's not a problem to do her job from home, she is absolutely bored rigid with the lack of interaction with her colleagues.
