  1. Instead of scattering his ashes, they sprinkled them.
  2. Normally I hate choreographed celebrations.
  3. Yep, people do pay it. My mate was one of them up until home working kicked in last year. It sounds ridiculous, but it worked out cheaper than taking the car and was generally quicker too. As well as the cost of circa 400 miles a week worth of fuel, the cost of parking on top of that made the car more expensive.
  4. Very pleasing to have beaten them at what is pretty much their own game. Feared that Glasgow would crumble as usual when faced with a physical challenge.
  5. Big turnover there. Should manage the last few minutes from here. Dempsey has been superb.
  6. 15-7 with 4 to go, would be great to deny them even a losing BP.
  7. Butchered a good try chance, then almost immediately concede one at the other end.
  8. Keep the scoreboard ticking.
  9. I was up during the night with usual post nightshift insomnia. Saw most of the first session, with Root and Malan looking comfortable. Went back to bed at the dinner break, and wasn't surprised in the slightest to find that England were all out when I got up again after 10. Once again so many poor shots leading to dismissals. They should be forced to watch tapes of Labuschagne, he's one of the best leavers of a ball I've seen for a while.
  10. Full team of Irish officials drafted in.
  11. Can't blame Price for having a moan there.
  12. Glasgow v Exeter is on BT Sport 2 just now, and it's and absolute shambles to watch.
  13. This is going to be farcical to watch.
  14. After the Petershill game was put off I went and met my uncle and his mate who have come up from Exeter for tonight's game. We were talking about the salary cap in England, it's getting cut from £6.5 million per year to £5m, which is going to have a huge impact on who the English clubs will be able to sign. They are allowed one marquee player that doesn’t count towards the cap, but with a squad of 45 or so then a saving of £1.5m will take a bit of doing. It might turn on to a big problem for England if players look to France for a big payday. As well as Skinner almost certainly Edinburgh bound, they reckon Johnny Gray will be leaving too. As much as they like him, he is an expensive asset who has only managed a couple of games this season.
  15. Smaller pitch at Ashfield maybe helped a bit, but imo the ref made the right call at ours. One keeper would not have been able to see the other punting the ball or taking a goal kick.
  16. Definitely looks a bit clearer than Petershill Park did tbf. My own opinion as soon as I got to the ground was that it was going to be off. You couldn't really see the far touchline from the stand side and the ref's opinion was that he would not have been able to judge things like offside properly due to the reduced visibilty.
  17. Petershill vs Perthshire off today due to fog, think that's the first tjme I've ever seen that. Tbf it was the right call as you could barely see the halfway line from the goal line. It actually got worse after I took this picture.
  18. Confirmed that AJ won't be able to dance in the final.
  19. Went for my booster this morning at Barmulloch, feared the worst after coming off nightshift and hearing horror stories about people waiting for hours as that was the last thing I needed to be doing. Appointment was at 9.10, dropped the daughter at school and joined the queue which was outside the building at about 8.50. Reckon there were about 40 people in front of me, so I was pleasantly surprised to be jagged and back in the house for 9.20.
  20. First wicket down, Burns edging Starc to Smith in the slips.
  21. Neser and Richardson weren't hanging about either. A strike rate of 300 for Richardson. England have a real problem with cleaning up the tail. It was going to be a tall order anyway, but they lost 83 runs in 10 overs after Carey was dismissed. Australia declare on 473-9.
