If you had sat up, you would have been safely tucked up in bed by 1am. Thinking back to this time last year with the Sri Lankan and Indian tours, Silverwood's mantra was all about how the rotation system was in place to make sure that the squad were in top condition for the Ashes series. That worked out well....

The hardest hole on the PGA tour this year was the 223 yard par 3 17th at Kiawah Island during the USPGA. Over the 4 rounds it played at an average of 0.531 over par, with 40 balls in the water over the 4 rounds, with only 34.39% of tee shots finding the green. There were 42 double bogeys, 12 triples and one quadruple.

England's scores on this tour... 147 297 236 192 185 68 They showed a list of England's 10 worst Ashes innings, and today's was number 9 on the list. Steve Harmison made the point that 8 of those scores were from way back, but the bulk of this batting line up has contributed two of them, in 2019 and today.

I knew Anderson had bowled a cracking spell there, but just noticed it was 1 wicket for 1 run from 6 overs with 5 maidens. Terrific bowling. 131-4 at lunch. 70-3 for the session, England's best session of the series so far.
