Caught the end of the late game, Vikings were leading by 3 with just over a minute left, with the Cowboys driving. Vikings call a timeout with the Cowboys facing a 3rd and 16 on the Vikings 25, obviously hoping they can force a 4th down, limit the Cowboys to a FG, then try and get a FG of their own. They make an arse of setting up for the next play and try and call another timeout, which they can't with no play in-between, so get called for a defensive delay of game penalty, which turns the 3rd and 16 into a 3rd and 11, which Elliott manages to convert for a 1st down. Next play Cooper Rush finds Amari Cooper in the endzone for a game winning score. Vikings still had 50 seconds or so left but got nowhere.

Enjoyed this week a lot more than the last couple of Sundays, too many blowout wins the last two weeks, always more fun when more games are tight to the closing stages.

I swear at work a lot, it's a workshop with only male staff so "industrial language" has always been the norm. I don't swear at home, and never ever swore in front of my parents. My late dad also worked in an all male environment but never swore in front of my brother or me, up until his last few days when he had terminal cancer. Used to work with a guy who swore with every other word, and could even fit a curse inside another word. His most memorable effort was at a union meeting when he accused the management of spreading "misinforfuckingmation".

When my Dad passed away in 2018 his one request was that he wanted a minister to conduct the service. The day after he passed away we met up with his two brothers to start putting together his biography to give to the minister, I effectively wrote the eulogy myself and gave it to the minister when we met him a day or two later. I've been at good and bad funerals both religious and humanist, the eulogy can only be as good as the info the family provide. Worst I was ever at though was for the daughter of a friend of mine who had passed away aged 15 from leukaemia, the p***k of a minister managed to conduct a church service and a committal at the graveside without mentioning her name once.

They did finally get through course open this morning, but only 10 holes, 1-8 and 17 and 18. I was going to play Sunday morning but can't be arsed as the course will still be sodden and the early forecast is for more rain.

Watching the highlights from the women's tourney played under the floodlights in Dubai, it's great for following the ball for half blind folk like me.

Shout out to the Ants groundstaff, that's twice we've played there in a fortnight when it has been raining heavily and the pitch has been in great nick. Peasy scored 3 goals in about 2 and a half minutes on the quarter hour mark which just about killed the game. Ants got one back right on half time to keep themselves in it, but we saw out the 3-1.
