  1. Nothing really from left field from Stricker. Finau, Schauffele and Speith were 7th, 8th and 9th on the standings and been locked in as picks for a while. Next 5 were 10th English 11th Reed 12th Berger 13th Simpson 14th Scheffler Reed maybe hasn't played enough golf for Stricker's liking, or maybe he just thinks he will have enough problems trying to manage DeChambeau in the team without adding Reed into the mix. Simpson failed to make the top 30 for the Tour Championship, while Scheffler played well at the WGC Matchplay earlier in the year.
  2. No Patrick Reed in the US Ryder Cup team.
  3. Even better was the fact that Kang clawed her way back after the match was already lost, thought she had holed a putt to tie her match, only for Pedersen to metaphorically kick her in the pie and hole hers too. Pleasing.
  4. She's had a few today. Harrington should forget all his other wildcard options and pick Leona Maguire.
  5. Not even sure if a win this week would be enough either points wise or to convince Harrington to pick them. I'm 99% sure that Garcia, Poulter and Stenson get the wildcards, unless Lowry drops out of the automatic spots then he gets the nod ahead of Stenson imo.
  6. Both gone by tea, 8 down and only Overton, Robinson and Anderson left.
  7. 14 Scots in the field for this week's BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. In the Ryder Cup standings Garcia leapfrogged both Wiesberger and Perez to move into the spot just below automatic qualifying. Fleetwood also moved up a couple of spots on the world list, but he is already locked in on the Euro points list. Lowry the man with most to lose at Wentworth.
  8. Only one result likely now imo.
  9. Also worth adding that Cantlay only won the memorial after Rahm had to withdraw, and Rahm actually shot a lower score over the 4 rounds this weekend.
  10. Biggest problem now is that the majority of the field have no chance of winning right from the start. The guys starting on level or minus one could have hit 4 x 66s and still been miles short of the leaders.
  11. England need 238 to win at lunch with 8 wickets in hand. Only added 54 runs this morning so if they keep going at that rate it's highly unlikely the can win it. 21 overs until India get their hands on the new ball, but with the pitch as flat as it is then it probably won't make a lot of difference.
  12. Malan run out, one way England can beat themselves.
  13. Siraj drops Hameed, an absolute dolly.
  14. Lord knows where that delivery came from.
  15. Burns gers to 50 first and beings up the 100 partnership, then gets out next ball to an absolute jaffa from Thakur.
