Wolves started the first half badly, and have started the second half even worse. 3-2 West Brom, taking the lead through another penalty.

West Brom took an early lead through a penalty, but Wolves are now 2-1 up just before half time. Saw that Sam Allardyce had been saying how scared he is to be working during the pandemic. He was perfectly safe sitting at home 5 or 6 weeks back, there's no way he needed this job for the money. I can see him chucking it to preserve his record of not being relegated.

Australia had a similar finish to England, going from 311-5 to 369 all out. India were 62-2 when rain stopped play. Inspection due in a few minutes to see if we get any more play this morning.

England 421 all out with Root going for 228. Only Kevin Pietersen has reached the 8000 run mark on less innings. Poor finish from England slipping from 372-4, although given how poor the home side were in the first innings I doubt it will matter.

Root passes 8000 Test runs and is still there on 226, but England have lost 5 wickets this morning already.

A few raging Facebook maws (and das) this morning, seething about the state of the roads in Glasgow. "Where's the gritters??". They were out twice last night, at 8pm and again at 1pm. They still can't grasp that heavy snow will cover anything.p

Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat, so I guess being 25-3 wasn't in the script. They rallied a bit but another 2 quick wickets leaves then struggling at 81-5.

Strange that the website mentions a "long term deal" but doesn't actually mention how many years it is for. Long term to me would suggest at least until summer 2023?
