  1. Caught the end of play there, I've no idea how Cam Green survived until the close of play. I suspect he has no idea either.
  2. Surely has to go against the spirit of the game that England fielded a completely different Ollie Pope for the second innings?
  3. India only add 15 runs this morning, all out with a lead of 190. I'll be shocked if India have to bat again.
  4. India 309-5 at tea, 63 runs ahead. Australia were 54-5 at Brisbane chasing the Windies first innings total of 311, but have recovered a bit to be 161-7 at dinner.
  5. I've always felt he might land in Washington, one of only two jobs still vacant. Plenty of other free candidates though.
  6. He'll need to come back in 28 or so to make the cut.
  7. It's obviously not just a one year rebuild but it's a tough gig for anyone, never mind a rookie HC.
  8. Undoubtedly had Mayfield playing well this year, but not convinced a guy with 1 year as a coordinator under his belt is what the Panthers need to turn things around.
  9. Stokes has obviously decided that he doesn't trust anyone else to hang around and has started swinging, 14 off that over, 13 of them for Stokes.
  10. England doing England on tour things, 174-7 midway through the afternoon session. They made a reasonable start too with the first wicket not falling until they had 55 on the board.
  11. Never mind out the bag, that putter will be lobbed into the nearest lake.
  12. He had 21 putts thru 10 holes, having averaged 28.5 per round so far. He doesn't look as if he has struck the ball that badly, he's only missed 2 greens in regulation, but his putting would appear to have been awful.
  13. And it hasn't got much better for him, out in 40 to be +4.
  14. Purdy also gets hammered with the YAC stat, I didn't realise that everyone else's receivers sat down as soon as they caught the ball. He supposedly could never be an MVP candidate because he doesn't elevate the players around him. Aiyuk had a career best year, Kittle had over 1000 yards again, McCaffrey has over 500 yards receiving. Americans normally like an underdog story, but a lot of pundits in particular seem desperate for Purdy to fail. My own opinion is that because they talked up lots of QBs over the years who were first round picks that have amounted to very little, they can't have Mr. Irrelevant outperforming them.
  15. But he's not throwing check downs, he had the highest average air yards per attempt in the whole league this year. The amount of goal post shifting he gets is very strange. Before last night it was he hasn't come back to win in bad weather, so he did. Now it's "it was only 7 points, it's not that big a comeback." "He can't win without Deebo." He did. So now it's that he only succeeds because of the 49ers roster. On the game winning drive the two biggest completions went to those all-pro players *checks notes* Juaun Jennings and Chris Conley. Did he play well on Saturday night? No. But when the chips were down he came up with 6/7 for 47 yards and 11 yards rushing himself in a game winning drive. He is getting more criticism for winning than the guy on the other team who threw 2 interceptions, 1 of which was a shocking throw which ended the game.
