  1. TTT today, could be quite a big difference in times as it's quite a lumpy course. No major climbs but enough ups and downs to cause problems, especially for teams who are a man or two down. IMO van Garderen will be in yellow tonight.
  2. Spieth hit a career best 61 yesterday to move into the lead at the John Deere.
  3. Just reading that if he had tested positive outside of competition then he would have got away with a slap on the wrist. Cocaine can stay in the system for around 3 weeks, and at 38 then he could well be finished.
  4. Absolute collapse on the cards now.
  5. Should be 97-2, not 90. Scotland were well beaten by the Netherlands in the T20 qualifiers.
  6. Jinxed again, Warner went last ball before lunch, 90-2.
  7. Different coach might be trying to instil a different mind set in him? Imo they batted today with the weather forecast for Sunday in mind, knowing that tomorrow will probably be the last full day's play.
  8. Froome not wearing yellow, not the first time that someone who has taken over the lead due to another rider's withdrawal has opted not to wear it. Contador managed to crash in the neutral zone this morning.
  9. It's been England's biggest failure recently, numerous times they've had opponents at 5 or 6 down and then been unable to finish them off.
  10. Seems Nibali thought Froome had caused the crash and he flung a water bottle at him, he later apologised to Froome. Watching it again this morning it's still one of the stranger crashes you will see, still can't see what caused Martin to veer so sharply to the right and go down.
  11. Gutted for him after working his arse off to get into yellow. Going to be a few teams who may struggle in the TTT as they will be short of bodies.
  12. Martin down on the final climb, still hasn't got back on the back yet. He will still get the same time as the rest though. Edit: he's being pushed up the hill by his team mates.
  13. @DavidWalshST Four riders forced to abandon following crash: Simon Gerrens (OGE), William Bonnet (FdJ), Tom Dumoulin (Giant) and Dmity Kozontchuk (Kat). Bonnet looked to be in a very bad way.
  14. Two big crashes in quick succession, the race has been temporarily neutralized. Cancellara came down in the second crash. Fkn hell, it's been restarted before I even finished typing!
  15. Nah, bit of an over reaction from some folk who should know better imo. He certainly eased up but not in a huff, just because he knew he was beat. He and his team made a total arse of the sprint though, Cav ended up on the front far too early and effectively he ended up as lead out man for the other three.
  16. Today's finish has a long section along the coast, crosswinds could cause a few problems.
  17. Not out yet, but I'll be surprised if he can match the leader at the moment, Dennis set the fastest average speed ever for a Tour time trial.
  18. Shame about Harris, his economy rate was superb, always did a great job of helping to build pressure.
  19. Decent draw for Glasgow Warriors, especially when you look at the like of Pool 5, where the 4 teams have 9 Euro wins between them. Also confirmed that Edinburgh will host both the Champions and Challenge cup finals in 2017.
  20. They spoke to one of the umpires yesterday and he was saying it was the worst collision by far he had ever seen. What was worse he said was that you could see it coming and could only pray that one of them pulled up or shouted in time.
  21. SSN showed the clash earlier on, fkn ouch. Both players are fortunately recovering well.
  22. Froome timed it to perfection today to take the stage win and the overall title. He had 18 seconds to make up on Van Garderen and left him for dead in the last 2k, he was 17 seconds up on the line and the time bonus saw him well clear.
  23. Good day for Froome as he left everyone behind to take the stage win, Van Garderen hung on with him for most of the final climb and he had enough of a gap over the rest to take the overall lead.
  24. Obree's record doesn't count as they scrubbed all those that were done in modified positions, that includes Boardman's 56k. Boardman also did a 49k which was within the rules and was the record at the time.
  25. Wiggins destroyed Alex Dowsett's hour record, going 54.625 km. In the Dauphine, Pete Kennaugh won the opening stage.
