The way the balls were set, the 114 break McManus hit in the second frame was as good as any I've seen this tourney. Had to work very hard at it and lost position a couple of times, but it was a brilliant break.

Adam Lyth scored 111 opening for Yorkshire yesterday too. Bairstow and Plunkett battered 227 at 8 an over, and Bairstow also passed 8000 first class runs.
The fact that he didn't use his arms in the tackle was bad enough and probably warranted a yellow, but when you factor in how high he hit him then it must have been damn close to a red. How he wasn't carded at all is beyond me.
