  1. Been some poor dismissals, but that was an absolute jaffa that done for Buttler.
  2. Clint Malarchuk, a Canadian goaltender playing with the Buffalo Sabres. He had his carotid artery severed and jugular vein partially cut, he survived largely due to being lucky enough that his team's trainer had served in Vietnam and had a lot of experience of stemming blood loss. He sat and pinched the artery closed until doctors could stabilise the wound. Both incidents must have been horrific for those watching, especially any kids in the crowd.
  3. Yes, but the season ends today as far as tour cards go, only the top 71 or so will play in the Nedbank in 2 weeks time. Valimaki wins the playoff with a birdie on 18. Marc Warren finishes outside the top 116 required to keep his card.

    Week 8

He didn't apply apparently, there were 230 players across the league took part last year, it's up to over 300 this year.
  5. Disappointing final round for Bob, out on the final group but shaves the hole with lots of putts and ends on 14 under where he started and tied for 6th. Great week for Scott Jamieson though, he came in right on the bubble for keeping his card, but a back 9 of 31 today after a +2 front 9 sees him finish in a tie for 3rd. Playoff between Campillo and Valimaki for the win.
  6. England's bowlers finally show up and limit India to 229-9. On the evidence of this tourney and also how the Indian batsmen struggled on this pitch, I still wouldn't fancy England to chase that down.
  7. Brilliance. Sheer brilliance.
  8. Tbh I thought they had to go for a try while it was 14 a side.
  9. That was phenomenal pressure by the Saffers to win the penalty, and with Kane upgraded to red it's effectively game over.
  10. And that could well be game over for Kane.
  11. Could still be red imo, no need for him to land on his leg unless it was deliberate. South Africa's scrum and line-out is going to be significantly weaker.
  12. Another cracking win for the Netherlands today, scoring 229 batting first but then dismantling Bangladesh for 142 with them never having a sniff as they were always behind the run rate as the wickets fell early. Was gutted I had to leave for the football and miss the end of Australia v New Zealand, it was shaping up to be a cracker and ended up that way.
  13. Fwiw I thought seeing that lbw live that it was going down leg.
  14. That's a stunning catch by Haris Rauf off his own bowling, having to adjust and dive on his follow through. 9 down with 11 still needed.
  15. 8 down now, Coetzee nicking Afridi to the keeper. That 21 looks a lot bigger now.
  16. SA chasing 271 against Pakistan and should get there, but they've just lost Markram who has held the whole innings together. 21 needed from 58 with 3 wickets left but just the tail to get them over the line.
  17. That is a paddling. 5 world cup wins in a row for Sri Lanka over England.
  18. They mentioned on commentary how England have struggled despite this being largely the team that won 4 years ago. That's the problem for me though, they've played so little 50 over cricket since that they've just stuck to what they know, with no way of judging form properly coming into the tourney. It's been an absolute shitshow since they landed in India.
  19. You would have hoped that if they had learned anything from the Bairstow run out in the summer, that it might have been a bit of awareness about being in your crease at the appropriate moments in the game.
  20. Woke up and checked how England were getting on...
