  1. Apologies , I had blocked everything Clyde related by that time so missed all the shite about it. With the length of time he has been at Clyde I just assumed he was one of the guys there.
  2. Basically all this started with high profile members of Raith Rovers making their feelings known about this man signing for their club. The media picked up on it from there. The reason the media didn't pick up on anything before is the fact that he was completely accepted at Clyde by all club officials, supporters and sponsors. There was no fuss , hence no story.
  3. Personally, I thank Ross county for taking him back from Brora when they did. Doubly glad he did the business on Saturday.
  4. Aberdeen bypass was closed as well I believe
  5. Nah , diddy clubs are ones who blame others for their demise.
  6. Likewise. Sometimes you just have to suck it up. Shit happens. All said and done Kent shouldn't have given the ref an excuse to send him off in the first place.
  7. Graeme Souness , Kyle Laugherty , Alfredo Morellos , Alan MacGregor and more all have history of theatrics . When the cap fits and all that.
  8. They are seemingly on 4 month contracts . Basically full time , training every day . Don't know what will happen with them at the end of the season though.
  9. Ok . I concede. I only hope Hearts have their business head on and sort out a sell on clause with the rangers after his next move.
  10. Fair play on the first bit . On the second bit I am pretty sure he did , with United agreeing to a 10% selling on fee as a sweetener.
  11. The guy is coming to the end of his contract . He has obviously tried to negotiate a new one at Hearts but The Rangers have come in with an offer that Hearts couldn't match . Why the Hearts fans can't see that this is progression is baffling. Also Hearts signed him on a pre contract agreement from Dundee United . Is that any different to this deal now ?
  12. Yes , that is Brechin's biggest failing , not finishing teams off. We all agreed that fort will now give some of the teams at the bottom end a bit of a scare but they have to be able to handle their aggression . In simple terms they were a bunch of angry men trying to prove a point. Some of the tackles were just cynical especially one in the second half from their no 3 who had already been booked. We heard the ref minutes before that tackle , while booking another , saying that he was running out of paper. .............Sorry ref but that's no excuse to ignore possibly the worse tackle of the match.
  13. Yes it's always pay at the gate for league games.
  14. First off it is nice having the team winning games again. This certainly helps lift spirits , although the general restructuring of the club has also helped lift the mood. The camel treks you speak of (Wick apart ) are no worse than going to Stranraer , Annan, Dumfries etc for us , plus you only play them away once a season .......or twice possibly if you are drawn them in the cup. The days out themselves are more pleasurable as on a whole we find the people are friendlier. No getting chased to your bus in Cowdenbeath or getting your bus stoned in Methil or the Dumbarton stewards making your life hell etc . We obviously want to be back in the spfl for footballing reasons but I can honestly say the days out are far more pleasurable in this kneck of the woods.
  15. Is this the best you can come up with ?
  16. I would think about that as well .................but only if I hadn't witnessed our last few seasons .
  17. Correct. Just a bunch of guys going through the motions and a manager who doesn't realise what the highland league is all about.
  18. We have been saying that since about the 3rd match in but our players and management can't seem to grasp that philosophy.
  19. What's the issue here ? It's just a simple case of our club trying to rebuild after a disastrous few years of poor decision making. If folk are too caught up in their own agendas and conspiracy theories to accept that then fair enough.
  20. Saturday highlighted a lot of your points. First half excellent till the sending off . Second half a combination of poor tactical decisions and players having to completely change their mindset to accomodate the strange tactical thinking from the sidelines. Keep it simple and keep doing the things players are comfortable at and I'm sure the results will come. The bit I highlighted is a bit of a cop out. If the players and management haven't worked out by this stage that to compete at the top end in this league you just have to go for it , then we will get nowhere. Our players are not new to playing attacking football and if anything , this league allows them to do just that . Fraserburgh showed on Saturday that when put under pressure they can be as shaky as us at the back. When you start to play into their hands by trying to park the bus though that is when they come into their own. Not rocket science.
  21. The top 6 or 7 teams would probably hold their own in league 2 . Below that the standard is very poor. You can see by the table the obvious gulf in quality. Hard to say how other league 2 sides would fare in this league as I don't think there are many in as bad a state as Brechin were in those last couple of seasons. Although our team and overall displays have dramatically improved since our SPFL decline I would say the team still have to get a bit more streetwise . The football we play is sometimes fantastic but the appetite to really finish teams off just isn't there . Broch showed on Saturday, as they have done on many occasions , a real will to win. If Brechin are to get out of this league then we have to do the same.
