  1. Isn't one of Annan's key threats from wide meant to be Willie Gibson getting forward from rightback? If we swap to a back five, aside from me personally hating throwing the defence into a formation they're not practiced in, it will just mean Craig will end up marking a winger and Gibson will get a tonne of space to work in. I'd much rather we stuck to the back 4 that has actually been defending reasonably well recently (by our standards anyway) and played Cuddihy and Scullion on either wing to offer some protection to our fullbacks.
  2. Absolutely dreadful performance. No game plan and no composure. Lyon and Craig have been another level of bad tonight.
  3. Well that was a pleasant surprise. As others have said, we didn't play to our best so it's even better to eek out a win like that. East Fife will still be very dangerous on Friday and I think the larger pitch at Hamilton might help them. We have to hope Sula is okay and that Doherty might make a recovery. Cuddihy would be a bonus too obviously. Mullen was probably our man of the match for a couple of important saves but I'd also give a shout out to Hynes, who had his best game for us yet. He doesn't offer much on the ball obviously but worked immensely hard tonight to provide cover in the fullback areas and made a lot of key interceptions and clearances too.
  4. I think Cochrane was lucky not to get a red at the time but, after the referee has deemed it a yellow, there shouldn't have been enough for VAR to overrule it. You could argue it either way for how clear a goal scoring opportunity it is and I'd edge more towards red than yellow but it isn't completely clear cut.
  5. One other thing that was very underwhelming was the "great" forge of Mandalore being lit. It was literally just one forge that was only about twice the size of the forge they had in the fucking sewers on Nevarro. They should have come back at the end of the episode and done a shot similar to the one in Lord of the Rings of the Caverns of Isengard when Saruman is making his army. Panning down from the top, showing lots of movement and noise with the Mandalorian's starting to rebuild their civilisation. Then it could have cut to Mando and Grogu just chilling out.
  6. I thought it was a good but not spectacular finale. There wasn't much in the way of surprise and it felt like the episode could have done with another 20 minutes or so, just so that things weren't quite so rushed. We briefly see the smaller ships abandon the Mandalorian's Destroyer, for it to get taken out by the Imperial Bombers. But there's no follow up to show what happened to the bombers after that. They could have been defeated or chased off by the Mandalorian's other ships but showing a little more of the sky/space battles would have helped the balance of the episode.
  7. Level at half time is probably fair and it’s been a tight game but, ultimately, both teams have been shit. Celtic’s passing has been atrocious but so has their movement. Both centre backs are getting stuck with the ball with no options and the midfield not helping them out at all. Rangers pressing has been good but that’s about it. Celtic must be near double figures for misplaced passes but you would barely know it as Rangers haven’t actually capitalised on them.
  8. His positioning was actually too central to start with, he should have been further to his left. Then he panicked and made a late adjustment. Then he, as usual, didn’t move his feet before diving. He might not have got it anyway but it was still awful goalkeeping.
  9. Good strike but Joe Harts positioning and efforts to get there were horrendous.
  10. An entire defence left standing still by a standard cut back into the box.
  11. It was soft as f**k but not really enough for VAR to overturn it. They both have a hold of each other but then Morelos makes a slight shove in the back. Nothing really but as the ref gave it, I agree with VAR not overturning it.
  12. Not that it'll make any difference to the result, you can understand Duffy's changes today. Parry needed dropped, even though his job has been made harder by poor defending and zero closing down at the edge of the box. Sula had a nightmare last week, though he's maybe a little hard done by to be dropped immediately. Cunningham has contributed nothing in weeks and is deservedly benched. The issue being that I don't think either McLean or Scullion coming in actually improves us.
  13. That was superb. It was men against boys at times tonight.
  14. Ah that was a big chance for Dykes. Good to reach half time though. Hopefully Clarke can settle the players down a bit.
  15. Right that's enough now Scotland, you can start playing again.
  16. Sula playing the whole game when he's had an absolute nightmare is quite something.
  17. We've actually played quite well (relatively speaking) but we panic at the back and stand off players at the edge of the box whereas Airdrie haven't given us a second to get a clear shot away.
  18. Never been impressed by Quitongo but might give us more attacking threat from deep anyway. I wonder if Craig's injury is a bad one or if this was already planned.
  19. If only we'd signed a rightback in January... Edit: And there he is, in midfield ffs.
  20. Pish second half performance. Never threatened bar two half chances where McDonald and Cunningham should have done better. Comfortable win for Airdrie without them having to be particularly good.
  21. So much for that. Hynes giving the ball away in a bad position for the goal. He just doesn't really look like a midfielder.
