  1. Started well and then dropped off it a little in the last 15 minutes. Still really just creating things by pressurising the opposition and generally lacking a bit of quality in the final third. The defence have been mostly fine and McGeever has done well, to be fair to him. Lyon hasn't been bad as such but still feels like he's always on the verge of giving the ball away. As usual, it'll come down to how we do when we tire and whether Airdrie can lift themselves a bit.
  2. Hopefully I'm wrong but I don't get why an unfit McGeever is straight in to replace McLean who was fine last week. Don't understand dropping Craig either who's been out best option at leftback.
  3. Makes perfect sense to swap one 28 year old lumbering centreback, who's previously played for Falkirk and Queen's Park, for another 28 year old lumbering centreback, who's previously played for Falkirk and Queen's Park. I like McGeever and would have been happy to sign him any summer in the last couple of years, but this is a rather odd way of going about it.
  4. Half an hour plus of bleating about Aberdeen signing players who don't know what's required to play for a side like Aberdeen. As though they're completely different to any other club in the world. Not one mention of Goodwins tactics or style of play in the entire discussion. Willie Miller is bad but the rest are no better. Spouting absolute pish about foreign players because they can't offer any actual analysis.
  5. Really disappointing to see Allan go as he was one of the few players actually worth turning up to see. Not surprising though and, as others say, he was always going to be away at some point soon. That's us guaranteed 10th place then.
  6. As well as being shit, are we really unfit? I know we're usually chasing games but every week we seem to be knackered after 60 minutes.

  8. Ivo Graham is great. If I was picking people who hadn't done it yet, I'd definitely have had him in my top five. If you had to compare him to previous contestants he's probably along the lines of Jon Richardson with an element of Joe Thomas awkwardness about him. He won't mind making a fool of himself but I could see him hating having to do any task involving talking to a stranger. Jenny Eclair on the other hand is god awful and could easily surpass the likes of Liza Tarbuck and Judi Love as the most annoying contestant ever.

  10. You don't have to be big to be physical and, based on last night, Ryan Wallace absolutely is a physical player. It's not a criticism: he was strong and used his body well to shield the ball & win free kicks, especially in the first half.
  11. Scullion isn't a rightback but his positioning is so bad you'd think he's never seen a game of football before. Parry is beyond done. Absolutely nothing in midfield. Lucky it's only 2.
  12. Thought Allan might have been a fraction off for that goal but his finishing is so good. Enjoyed Lawal blaming the referee for him being too weak. Games still very open. Lovely finish by Lawal typically just as I post.
  13. I quite like Saka for an outside shot at the Golden Boot at 249/1 on Betfair Exchange. Obviously the slight issue that he won't definitely start for England, though I think he deserves to, but I can see him maybe grabbing a few goals if he does. England also have a relatively easy group. Foden possibly a decent bet for similar reasons. 80/1 on Darwin Nunez seems worth a punt too.

  16. That is not an inspiring appointment. That's not to say it won't work, but it's not one to spark much in the way of hope or interest and (as has been said) his recruitment is usually pretty poor too. I hope his contract is only until the summer, for now at least.
  17. We're fighting hard but don't look like scoring, barring the chance when Roberts touch deserted him. No midfielders on the bench won't help when we tire.

  19. Also loving Andor so far. I wasn't expecting much from it, although I'd avoided the trailers etc beforehand, but it's been brilliant. As Jedi says, it started off as pretty standard stuff but got much more interesting after that.

  21. I obviously have no issue with it being opened up to all fans but the meeting was always going to include discussion about the teams on the field performance, the managers position and the stadium move. Lennon leaving really doesn't change the topics of discussion much at all. The meeting was already being streamed.
