  1. I’m not sure I see the problem. The main reason it’s easy to pick our starting line up just now is because we have actively good players in almost every position. Whereas, in the not too distant past, the debate was more likely to be between who would cause the team the fewest issues in a match out of 3 or 4 fairly poor options. Our back up is obviously going to be depleted when we have so many injuries but, for a country with only two professional clubs and little more than a handful of players playing top level rugby outside Scotland I’m not sure what more you could expect.
  2. Even aside from his mental comments about Dundee Utd, when trying to praise Steve Clarke's appointment and training sessions Boyd said "I can't speak highly of him". Think you missed out a key word there, Kris.
  3. I was talking about the "ribs of steel" nonsense.
  4. Yeah but he's the only flyhalf to have ever been tackled whilst making a pass. At least that's what you'd assume listening to these numpties commentating.
  5. A couple of outsiders to make lunchtime more interesting. Tierney & Ambrose both to get booked - 50/1 Troy Deeney to score a header against Chelsea - 33/1
  6. Two big losses from the squad. I heard Barclay, and one other player, have been referred to a different hospital (or maybe it was a university doing research) regarding their concussions and, as it stands, they have literally no idea when he'll be able to play again. Unlike some others, I think Laidlaw is a huge loss. I'm pretty sure Townsend would have started Price anyway but I would have much preferred having Laidlaw on the bench than any of our other options. He may not always provide the quickest ball (though I think he'd get a better balance playing under Townsend) but he provides a calm head and should we get ourselves into a winning position in any of the matches he'd give us the best chance of seeing it out.
  7. Disappointed to see Liam go but the right decision on that episode alone. Kate has to be one of the weakest bakers ever to make it to the semi-final. Usually the final four has two strong, consistent bakers (Steven/Sophie), and two inconsistent but talented bakers (Liam and Stacey) who are capable of both brilliant and terrible bakes. Kate has shown very little throughout despite her getting a star baker.
  8. I'm quite sure he only gave a knock on advantage and the commentator just got it wrong. Disappointing game but, despite some good defence, I'm not sure Glasgow deserved a losing bp.
  9. I've gone for a trio of upsets with BSC, EK and Clyde all to win at 19.7
  10. I really haven't been able to get into the last two years games so I might give it a miss for a change.
  11. Unfortunately, I like the look of 2-2 at 16/1.
  12. I started watching series 10 for the first time as it was added to Netflix, and I didn't find series 9 as bad as I expected. Having just watched the episodes with the dinner party followed Sheldon’s flamenco dancing in an attempt to seduce Amy, and I’m close to giving up on it already. It goes from a slow, albeit unconvincing, character development to try and make Sheldon more normal to the writers basically saying f**k it, we can do what we want.
  13. Power Rangers (2017) [DVD] 3/10 - It's a pretty poor film in general made worse by so many changes from the original story. Silent Running [DVD] 6/10 - I liked the idea of the plot but the way the film portrayed it felt a bit unbalanced. Think I'll enjoy it more rewatching it at some point, knowing what to expect.
  14. The first time this season that I've not also stuck a few quid on this as a straight bet is the one time every game comes in.
  15. £10 again. At least it's on a game I'd be watching anyway, I suppose.
  16. Seemed like a slightly harsh advantage over against Glasgow but, they have made a lot of big passes in their own half tonight and an intercept try was always likely at some point.
  17. I was trying to think of a joke about the Welsh fighting over a picture of Dan Biggar when I got distracted by this absolute bargain on eBay...
  18. That wee pass out the back by Beauden Barrett though
  19. Not bad for a Friday night. Cashed out the first one the moment Willie Collum took out the red card. Skybet are thankfully much slower than Bet365 at reacting to that kind of thing.
  20. Liverpool vs Seville RequestABet fivers: A goal in each half and 5+ corners in each half @ 4.50 Over 2.5 goals, 12+ match corners and Under 60 match booking points @ 5.00 BTTS, 2+ corners each team in each half and 20+ booking points each team @ 17.00 (free bet) Treble @ 4.54 on Man City -1 and a goal in both halves in the Spurs/Dortmund and RB Leipzig/Monaco games.
  21. Adding to my bets (losses) with Stuart Armstrong FGS & Celtic win 2-1 at 500/1.
  22. Chelsea -2 & PSG -2 at 4.99 Lustig & Thiago Motta to be carded at 8.50 Neymar to score and Celtic to win at 67.0
  23. IT – 7/10 Agree with most of what’s been said. I’ve never read the book and only watched the miniseries for the first time last week. I preferred the original version, which I found was bit more creepy and clever than the new one which aimed for a few more frights, but both are very enjoyable.
  24. Done my accounting for the weekend and having placed a total of 20 different bets/accumulators with a total stake of £247.51 (admittedly that was getting a bit carried away), my total return was £246.60. All that work for a loss of 91 fucking pence. Now withdrawn most of that so I don't do it again next week.
