  1. Glasgow playing their first home game of the season right now and not a single live update or link on the BBC sport Scotland site or Scottish rugby section. Disgrace.
  2. Tonight: Derby vs Hull - Goal in both halves & Celtic to win to nil @ 3.64 Tomorrow: Stirling, East Fife & St Mirren @ 9.66 Hoping Stirling will be hit by the P&B curse and Clyde get something from the match.
  3. That's what I thought but Stirling were only 1.90 on Monday and have drifted out to 2.05 now (Bet365). I'm sure that will come back in as we get closer to Saturday but it is very odd.
  4. I used to work in Rosyth and there were more people who would commute to our work from Edinburgh than there were from arround Fife. Just because you build an office north of the Forth doesn't mean that's where your workforce will live.
  5. Greece for me too. Every time the internationals come along I bet on them, lose money, tell myself not to bet things I don't know about, then do it all over again when the next set come up.
  6. Gone for Oxlade-Chamberlain FGS. Bet365 at 12/1. Skybet at 22/1. Pish
  7. I wimped it and cashed out these bets yesterday. Praying Liverpool don't win today now.
  8. To be fair Australia have been rotten for quite a while now. This is their first really great performance in a long time.
  9. This has been some game. Completely unexpected after last week.
  10. Ryan Wilson named the new captain for Glasgow. Certainly a bold choice. There’s no doubting his passion and aggression, he’s got loads of experience and he does actually speak very well but his discipline is horrendous. The added responsibility may make him think before acting more often, but given how easily he can be provoked by the opposition and some of the penalties he gives away, I can’t really see it. I don’t doubt that he’s a leader but he gets on the wrong side of the referee far too often and when the ref gets annoyed by your captain that’s not going to help the rest of the team.
  11. Finally got the offer quite late on, only £10. Gone for an unlikely Wanyama FGS.
  12. I haven't got the offer this time. Got £10 last time. Not impressed.
  13. Anyone know why Ipswich are 2.87 to win at home to Brentford, when they've won all 3 games so far while Brentford have only taken a point?
  14. Got Brand New tickets this morning. Looking forward to it already.
  15. Did the gigsinscotland presale work for anyone?
  16. Goals in both halves will definitely be my new bet for a while.
  17. I wouldn’t expect them to remove the South African results to work out qualification. The top 3 non-South African sides from each conference qualify plus the team with the next highest points total. That’s not possible due to the last qualifying spot being open to either conference. If the team in 4th in conference B has more points than 3rd in conference A they would get the 7th qualifying spot. I assume you could potentially, though it’s extremely unlikely, have a team finishing 5th in conference B and having more points than the team in 3rd in conference A but if you only finish 5th out of 7 in your conference (regardless of how they’re drawn) you don’t deserve to qualify for the top European competition. ETA: That's all ignoring the SA teams/assuming they finish in the bottom 2.
  18. Each way bets on Branden Grace and Matthew Fitzpatrick. Found it much harder to pick someone with good odds for this compared to the last few majors.
  19. That's the bit that annoys me the most with these offers, though I can understand it from their point of view obviously. I usually place a safe-ish prematch bet, don't bother trying to cover it elsewhere then just go for an unusual goalscorer and cross my fingers. But the last few games they've done this offer on the goalscorer odds have been horrendous. I only got £10. I still use Bet365 most weeks but predominantly switched to Skybet a few months ago and I'm much better off for it. I also usually make small profits from these offers.
  20. The first bet, on the Celtic game, recouped my losses from midweek and bets that didn't come in today. The rest was pure profit - cracking start to the season.
  21. Stirling look well overpriced at 4.33 to win away at Stenhousemuir, though it’s a tough game to call. Stenny should have a decent season but 3.0 DNB on Stirling is worth a bet.
