    Can understand why the fantasy element might initially put me off but it's gritty and grim enough that you can look past that. The intrigue, politicking and backstabbing is among the best on television.

    Can't see what's so great about swapping the entity which enshrines basic workers rights, human rights and the possibility of travelling across the continent with a minimum of fuss for the ones that want to make soldiers unaccountable for their actions, hammer the unions to pieces and close the gates on everybody.

    I think it'll be good. They had to play it safe with The Force Awakens because of how abominable the prequels were so now that they've managed to get two well-received Star Wars films under their belt and launched a new story they'll be able to take bigger risks with it. Plus it's Disney, man. They'll nail it.

    I read something that pointed out that if you look at past Republican presidents then it's to be expected that they will begin their presidency by noising up the Chinese so even that isn't totally out of step with US foreign policy. The real worry is that the Chinese are probably at their strongest relative to the US and might feel more confident contesting them in the Pacific.

    The problem is that while the genuine left would have continued to criticise Clinton and oppose large swathes of her presidency the liberal centre wouldn't and that's undeniable. Liberals love to ignore that Martin Luther King believed the white liberal to be the biggest obstruction to the civil rights cause and I haven't seen anything since Brexit or Trump's win that contradicts that.
