Submarine - 9/10 Really brilliant. It had me laughing in all the right places, the poignant scenes were done really well and the ending (whilst cliched) was done tongue in cheek as was the rest of the film and the icing on the cake was the superb soundtrack provided by Alex Turner. The clincher was the excellent acoustic version of Piledriver Waltz as the credits rolled as it's one of my favourite songs. I even identified with a lot of it, which probably meant I was a little weirdo in school as well.

Any tips once you hand over a CV to a potential employer? I've handed a few CV's in around Dundee and I'm thinking of going back and enquiring into them. I don't know what to say apart from 'did you get my CV?'

Had The Horrors last night and was a pretty good gig. Was slightly disappointed that they only played 4-5 tracks off Primary Colours and nothing off Strange House but then all the new songs do sound really promising whilst Sea Within A Sea and Who Can Say (my favourite tracks) were given an airing! I can't wait to hear Skying now. I'll more than likely go back in October I think to see them in Edinburgh.

RTD's overall story arc was essentially several unrelated episodes linked together by hastily scribbling 'BAD WOLF' all over the screen at some point in each episode. I really enjoyed the finale and how can an episode entitled 'Let's Kill Hitler' be anything but ridiculous but good?

I stayed in the Hub. It's more expensive than normal halls but is a much better standard.

Results back today, a B3 for Globalization and two B1's for Political Theory and History. Pleased with my results as I really lacked focus and effort in every subject, hopefully I'll have the drive to do better next year.
