Is there actually any posters on here who dont regularly attend their teams games in the SPL 'who would be tempted back if there was an SPL without Rangers next season.
Yeah kind of, I am thinking of buying my first Hearts season ticket if Rangerd go down the plug hole since the club will need the money and the backing of the fans. I am not buying one till I know what happens.
I do go to quite a few of the games already so it might not make much of a difference though.

I'm not actually sure what we're supposed to have done to offend them. Johnston has basically bent over and offered our arsehole to them.
I was wondering that as well, did you look at them the wrong way or something?

Think we all need to keep the faith. Who gets the Dunfermline vote if they don't get it?
Ross county I guess

Do the 20 "individuals and families" even exist? Sounds like he's preparing the orcs
for no CVA, liquidation and a Bill Miller type "incubator" newco with that statement.
Y'know that's what I was wondering, there was a statement which I read (on here I think, a no of pages back) that said he was interested in anyone who wanted to put money in and join him, sounded more like an advert and made me think that he might still be trying to get this consortium together, hence the reluctance to name them and the fact this it's pretty clearly a last minute punt.

If you pay me £100,000 then I will take Mr Lafferty off your hands.

Traynor and English sounded very shocked by the Celtic fan who claimed he wouldn't return if a newco was admitted into the SPL.
I think the media aren't quite aware of the true feeling with this issue. I've discussed it with many fellow United fans who are of the same opinion. If it happens, we won't be back, as football in Scotland will be finished!
I love my team, but I hope the SPL chairman realise what they'd be letting themselves in for by selling the soul of Scottish football.
I can't work out why as even the most cursory look at sites such as this, and we know the journos look at them, show almost united feeling that we want them out of the SPL or fans won't return. Despite appearances to the contrary they are not stupid so we have to believe they are wilfully ignoring the fans position because it doesn't support their own arguments.

How about the half time walk in? Empty stands and masses walking in at half time will be more noticable on TV. Harder to organise but more of an impact?
I think that's a great Idea :-)
Why exactly would any of our chairmen believe our threats to walk away from the game if we can't even organise ourselves to make one protest?
Our letters and e-mails are being ignored and anything else we do might be ignored as well but do we honestly want Rangers to come straight back on as though nothing has happened without showing even the slightest bit of a fight against it?
It's easy to say X won't work or Y won't work but doing f**k all won't work either, except to embarrass us further that we disn't even bother to oppose it.

What I don't understand is why is the likes of Millar interested - there's barely any assets or value left in the club to be of interest.

I am actually glad the SPL have put off the meeting as we know that, whatever they do, it will be taken as being against Rangers and be the nail in the coffin etc etc
It's probably quite sensible to wait until Rangers have acted I.e been liquidated or CVA'd or whatever then decide. Hopefully it also means that they can punish them without Rangers wriggling out of it afterwards.

My error. I'm thinking of a Newco in the Airdrie United mould which was a completely new club, rather than a find the lady style switcheroo.
Ahh gotcha :-) - yeah I see what you mean in that scenario.

If the club is liquidated the penalties die with it.
If the club is bought and saved, even with a CVA or similar, the penalties remain.
It was confirmed in the press that the penalty stays with the member share, so will remain if they transfer to a newco. the press may be incorrect but I don't think Rangers would be quite so angry if that were
the case.

666 pages, sign of the devil - will he come and put them out of their misery? Someone needs too.

It would be good if the SFL refused them membership

I believe that it was stated if the clubs membership share to play was transferred then the penalties likewise would travel with it.

A wonderfully truthful report from a regularly great Scottish reporter, in a SCOTTISH paper!
WOW!
That is an excellent article, well done to him and his fine journalism!

Transparancy is a term bandied about by both OF teams quite regularly now and it totally pisses me off - you didn't want 'transparency' Rangers already knew who was on the panel, you wanted the names out there so your pet journos could try and discredit them and the fans could give them a hard time to punish them for daring to punish you.
Both teams make me sick, bleating on about transparency when any decision is taken against you or you are not involved in - you don't need to know everything, nothing has changed now that you know the names has it?

Sorry what the f**k is the crab playing flute all about? Maybe it's a bit late in the day now and I'm a bit tired but I've fucking no idea.

Until today I thought that all this was quite funny and didn't mind Rangers long, drawn out death. After seeing the behaviour of Rangers officials and fans on the news, followed closely by the news of Lennon getting into trouble and I just think, this isn't funny anymore, these are two powerful clubs openly threatening people, bullying people and generally acting like c***s - who can actually stop them and deal with them if they threaten even the SFA? UEFA? The police?

Apparently Raith director Turnbull Hutton is one of the three. I'd be so proud of him if this was true. If Rangers go bust due to a Rovers director's influence then I'd be overjoyed.
I think you should tell him this - the poor blokes going to need all the support he can get.

Hopefully this puts paid to an appeal, will the SFA want to look like they can be bullied into taking the transfer ban away?

How many players have Rangers brought in this way, on HP basically?
0 -
Their attitude is appalling, they have the whole victim thing down as much as Celtic do - treated like vermin? by who? D Murray & C Whyte maybe but not by anyone else. I wonder exactly what they expect the SFA & SPL should do for them, If they are treating them so badly? What do they actually think they could do that they aren't?

One thing I wonder about is how can they get away with selling players they haven't paid for? I'm thinking of Jelavic, how are they allowed to keep the money Everton have paid when they never paid for him in the first place?
They basically brought in lots of players they couldn't pay for yet and I think knew they would never pay for. Somehow they are allowed to consider them assets. They should be sent back to the clubs they came from and Rangers shouldn't get a penny.
Also, by playing on as they are, they must still be racking up debts I.e wages, policing and ambulance costs etc will these just be written off as well? Shouldn't they be liquidated immediately to stop trading when insolvent.
