  1. Even with Heart's injuries, when I looked at their starting XI they had players of better quality than ours (except for Hladky). Levein is a shit manager. Get rid of him and you'll do better.
  2. Indeed. Knickerwetting has begun early. This time last season we were a basket case of a club. Kearney acted as sticking plaster and I'm extremely grateful to him for keeping us up. Goodwin will take time to get there, but IMO he's got us going in the right direction. If we can get a bit of luck in front of goal, then that might be the catalyst for more to come. P.S. A huge thanks to Killie for releasing Broadfoot.
  3. Played for Stockport in National league one today, so not happening. Our players need to pass more accurately and spot runs when they're made. Too often today we either fucked up the pass or missed the opportunity to make the killer pass. Far too pedestrian. The chances that we're creating for our forwards are few and far between. Although with the odd one that we have created, the forwards should be at least testing the 'keeper.
  4. Sadly for us, he'll be off at the end of the season. We need to appreciate him while we can.
  5. IIRC Mallan's equaliser was a diving "header" that was actually a blatant punch into the net.
  6. I was in the Dubai desert getting pished at the expense of Smith & Nephew when that game was going on. The texts from my mate at the game for the goals near the end arrived in the wrong order, causing no end of confusion.
  7. It did actually. It was one of the reasons that useless cunt Stubbs got his marching orders. This season we have a real manager.
  8. Three of the spaces in M3 will be due to excess alcohol consumption on Saturday, as me and my brother are taking my mate, who sits next to us out for his 50th. Long live Gordon Scott!
  9. Roy Aitken, Victor and Stevie Archibald were on ridiculous money, as was Thomas Stickroth. I know one of the directors of the club at the time, and although I can't remember the exact figures, it's no wonder we nearly went tits up in the mid nineties. I think Archibald was on something like £2K a game and that was in the early 90's. In fact it might have been more than that.
  10. To be fair... f**k all. It was the usual suspects exhibiting impatient knickerwetting in the extreme, when there was still more than a month left of the transfer window and we had still to make the majority of our signings.
  11. Against my better judgement I watched that clip. Fucking hell.
  12. A mere three weeks ago some of our support had us facing financial Armageddon,we had no decent players and we were as good as relegated.
  13. According to one of my former workmates, in the aforementioned category, he was there to watch the football and he just ignored all the other (sectarian and terrorist related) stuff. He was a bit of an arsehole, so I suggested that he was condoning that type of behaviour simply by attending matches. He didn't take too kindly to that. A strange bunch indeed.
  14. Between my mates and work colleagues, I know quite a few green bigot fans. Whilst many of them fall into the category highlighted above, I know of at least five of them who are non-Catholic. One of my mates started supporting them because the rest of his family supported the blue bigots and he thought he'd be different, even though St.Mirren were his local team.
  15. He was pretty poor in the few of games that he played for us. He got a long term injury early doors, and when he regained fitness, he played 4 games after Samson left. Dean Lyness was signed by Kearney and played instead of Rogers until we signed Hladky. Kearney binned him and chose to go with our U-19 'keeper as back up to Hladky for the remainder of the season. Alan Stubbs signed him. That should be a big enough warning for you.
  16. JG said that we are actively pursuing one potential signing and we might squeeze another one in after that. My money is on another striker.
  17. Quite. Maybe you should try reading my post properly.
  18. Of course it did, because the ball hit his arm. I don't think anyone is denying that. It's the position that his arm was in when the ball hit it that some people are debating. That picture doesn't show the ball hitting his arm.
  19. That picture is as useful as the one shown earlier. Neither proves nor disproves that it was a penalty. All it shows is the ball travelling towards a player with his arm out. In the next picture frame his arm is behind his back,
  20. If it makes you feel any better, Tony Andreu has been immense for us in the two league games we've played. What a find.
  21. Go into settings and untick all the options under topic and thread. I think that sorted it for me.
