That's an idiotic comment. The officials and players were just quietly making their way back into the pavilion. How is that "provocation"? Or are you trying to say that a few Lok supporters celebrating the win justifies assault on a player or the ref?

It's no secret and anyone who knows me is well aware that I was 100% opposed to this move, not least because of what happened over 2019-20 and 2021-22. It's important to emphasise though that we've not re-joined the Juniors, we're only in the competition as guests, purely to try to win the damn thing, and snaffle the top prize money!

To reduce 115 clubs to 64 (the number required for R2) 51 must be eliminated, which would normally involve 102 teams playing in R1 and 13 byes. But as 15 clubs have byes to R2 and a maximum of 100 are eligible to play, R1 must have 49 ties (involving 98 clubs) and there will need to be a Preliminary Round of 2 ties involving 4 clubs.

Surely a date of 26th August for R1 does not allow enough time for the Preliminary and Extra Preliminary fixtures to be played? Is there any chance the HL has got its dates wrong and 26th August is the Preliminary Round similar to last year's date of 27th? Or has the format of the rounds been completely changed?

Pollok and any other similarly placed clubs are among those that would have been most directly affected by the "CONference" (instant demotion, additional promotion step needed to reach SPFL etc). For that reason, and especially because they're SFA members without a vote, they're perfectly entitled to express a view and urge the clubs that would have voted to say "no". As for who's a numpty, what we've spent thousands on is spelled "licence", numpty, "license" is the verb.
