  1. Rangers: Police carry out raids on Whyte club purchase Continue reading the main story Related Stories Police to probe Rangers tax 'leaks' Police have carried out a series of raids relating to the purchase of Rangers Football Club by Craig Whyte from Sir David Murray. Police Scotland said they had "carried out a number of searches" in at addresses in both Scotland and England. The statement said: "These searches related to both domestic and business premises. "This remains an ongoing investigation, and no further information can be provided at this stage".
  2. Lets be honest.....nobody would be surprised to see SDM implicated in this whole mess also. SDM=>CW=>CG.......
  3. Breaking news on Sportsound : Police made raids on various properties in relation to Whyte's takeover in 2011 !
  4. and there was me thinking it was just the Korean peninsula that was set for thermonuclear war !
  5. was that not where his "standing charge" over Ibrox & Murray Park stemmed from ?
  6. I'm sure we could just re-start as the "same" Club in the third division.....debt free too !
  7. Both fair points. Will be interesting how it pans out....like I said to Tedi the other week....a lot of answers will be in their accounts due to be lodged this summer.
  8. Rangers chief Charles Green tells Ally McCoist to sack pals to save his own job 9 Apr 2013 07:39 THE Ibrox club has plunged further into crisis after owner Green tells McCoist to bin his right-hand men Ian Durrant and Kenny McDowall. Charles GreenCraig Williamson/SNS Group CHARLES GREEN has asked Ally McCoist to consider sacking right-hand men Ian Durrant and Kenny McDowall to save his own job. And we can reveal the astonishing request has plunged Rangers into civil war. Embattled Ibrox chief executive Green has undermined boss McCoist by axing physio Pip Yeates, chief scout Neil Murray and striker Fran Sandaza in a chaotic two-week purge. But the Yorkshireman has now gone even further by telling McCoist he believes Durrant and McDowall must also be binned as part of his restructuring plans. McCoist has been rocked by Green’s request but is almost certain to stand his ground and demand his coaching team stays. And that could lead to a further deterioration of his relationship with the man who has already branded his team the worst Rangers side in history. Club insiders believe McCoist was nearing the end of his tether with Green before the outspoken chief floated the idea of knifing his mates in the back. It is difficult to see how the pair can now repair the damage done to their working relationship. We can also reveal Green’s admission he teamed up with disgraced former owner Craig Whyte to drive through his Sevco takeover has caused huge unrest in the boardroom and among shareholders. Chairman Malcolm Murray has yet to comment but a source close to the saga said: “There is a high level of concern about some of the things going on.” No direct quotes I notice.....but WTF is going on at Ibrox ??? PS - I don't normally read the Daily Record but noticed this "story" on the BBC gossip page....
  9. How much are the ST's going for though ? are they not hugely reduced for the 3rd division ? admittedly 35K is an impressive figure....do you think it will hold up next season bearing in mind the fall off seen the last few months ? Always rated Wallace when he was at Hearts....good player. Black only came onto a game because of Paulo Sergio.....he seems to have reverted to type i.e: running around kicking people.
  10. I know Rangers aren't in debt....due to the cash raised by the float but this money can only be spent once and as stated was a "one time payment". Point taken about the previous football debts etc that required paying but aren't the likes of Alexander, McCulloch, Wallace, McCoist etc still on fairly hefty salaries ? I think a lot of answers will come out with the audited accounts....due in the summer you say ?
  11. Rangers own financial statement shows they are losing £1m per month........at the current rate the £22m raised in the stock market float will be gone by the time Rangers hit the first division! When guys like Bill Ng talked about a "£10m black hole" in the accounts without Champions league football.....this is what he was on about.
  12. Serious Question Tedi: Does it not concern you that your Club are currently paying over the odds for "SPL standard" players in the third division whilst according to the financial statement issued losing £1m per month (when the share issue money is deducted)? By all accounts they seem intent on doing exactly the same for the second division ! Would it not be more financially prudent for them to build gradually using youngsters & a few seasoned pro's with experience & capabilities of winning the division they are in.....and at a fraction of the cost.
  13. Your Club is currently losing £1m per month at present never mind spending more money ! You currently have the 2nd highest wage bill in Scotland and yet dropped more points than Gretna did in winning the 3rd Division......why the need to in-debt the Club even further just to try and win the 2nd Division ?
