    In fairness, I was asking rather than stating whether he was wearing a mic plus, living in Japan, I don't have the same access to UK programmes as (presumably) you do. Your basic point is correct though. Question everything and check the sources of the information as well as their factuality, then draw your own conclusions.

    I remember waking up for work blootered and falling through my coffee table whilst trying to put my socks on. I took the day off as it was probably best not to drive or be in charge of a crane lift in that state!

    Far be it from me to defend Boris Johnson, but wasn't the guy mic'd up? I agree, it doesn't change the fact his child is ill or whether the point he was making was valid or not but strikes as premeditated and opportunistic.

    I think the important thing to iterate is that whether watching, listening or reading news, you need to separate facts from opinion and conjecture. Ask yourself "who benefits from this?" and form your own opinions based on your own questioning. As investigative journalist, Greg Palast says.....don't listen to the repeaters!

    JJ was of a different generation that would look at staying out of the public eye differently from today's in terms of raising awareness aspect of the disease. A family friend out mine died a few years back of stomach cancer......what a miserable last few months he had.......his 47th birthday wish was "to die". He did a few days after it.
