  1. Recipe? Just kind of threw it together based on recipes I've seen Rick Stein doing...... Fry off a large onion (use a red onion as it's sweeter) until soft then add chopped garlic and tomatoes. continue to heat this until the tomatoes break down and form a "sauce". I then added garam masala, cumin, salt, pepper and some crushed ginger and stirred in whilst it continued to bubble away. A couple of dessert spoonfuls of tandoori paste was added and stirred in before removing from the heat to add a couple of dessert spoonfuls of natural yoghurt and stir through. Put this back on the heat to then add the chunks of fish to gently cook in the curry with a lid on the pan. I used a mixture of skinned and de-boned swordfish and red snapper fillets as it's readily available from the supermarkets here for making sushi but any flaky white fish that will hold its shape whilst cooking will do. Loosely based on this recipe but unable to get hold of all these ingredients out here : https://indianhealthyrecipes.com/fish-curry-recipe/
  2. Made a fish curry with boiled rice and garlic naan bread tonight for dinner. Absolutely sensational (even if I do say so myself), backed up by the wife promising to show her "full appreciation" later tonight.
  3. I purposely had all my tattoos done in discreet positions on my body where they can't be seen when wearing a shirt (even short sleeved) so that they wouldn't have any effect on my career. The only time I've regretted having them done is recently when I was asked not to come back to the local onsen.
  4. This is nothing new. See various threads about Ched Evans, David Goodwillie, Craig Thomson et al.
  5. I couldn't think of a more fitting location for a bonfire to "celebrate" TBH........
  6. Who's next in the HMFC wheel of fortune signing policy?
  7. I thought Stormzy died recently?
  8. This. Whilst I'd never "celebrate" the death of anyone I wouldn't extend any sympathy towards a scumbag that beats up a pregnant woman.
  9. I hope that Darwin, who is undoubtedly spinning in his grave at this abomination is doing so in conjunction with the Earths rotation. We're all fucked otherwise!
  10. I've put myself forward for the remake of Bridge over the River Kwai.....
  11. Was an extra in a movie being made about the Russian/Japanese war of 1904/05 today. Played a PoW given the task of sweeping the courtyard of a temple whist one of "our" Officers fires in about some Japanese Geisha.......based on a true story apparently. Treated my wife to a sausage fest at a German beer hall afterwards........
  12. Not sure if it has.....perhaps, and I just missed it! You're probably right about the eventual outcome though.
  13. Given that your Club is already running at a loss and relying on "soft" loans to make it through the season, I'd say paying that kind of fee as well as adding to the already crippling wage bill is rather an insane method of financial management.
  14. GTF day can't come soon enough for this thread. The sooner it can be incinerated with its ashes bagged and dumped with the rest of the hazardous waste at the Registered tip the better.
  15. Its a different pass from the JR pass. There are "fast" and "slow" bullet trains like you say, depending upon the number of stops but the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) and JR are separate from one another.
  16. It's the same with their head and lying the same way all the time. It can cause the skull to shape differently. We have a kid at our English school who has a very odd shaped head because of this (back of his head only thankfully)......It's not had any ill effects on him or his development other than the......deformity, although I'm not sure it can be called that.
  17. Sorry, should have also said Kyoto.......which is practically part of Osaka nowadays. Plus, It's worth looking into a rail pass for getting around (see attached) although the bullet train isn't part of this.
  18. Don't try to do too much. You only have a week. Perhaps a whistle stop tour on the bullet train of Shizouka, Osaka, Kobe and Hiroshima.
  19. yeah very strange. she sounds overly protected Modern liberal parenting at its worst. It's a shame really as they used to be great company but they've completely alienated themselves from the rest of the family with their behaviour.
  20. When is the big "open and transparent" inquest being started on the conflicts of interest at the SFA and SPFL? I trust that Campbell Ogilvie and Gordon Smith will be investigated in light of their roles at the SFA and not disclosing the hidden contracts at Ibrox which they knew of as they had one themselves (along with other Clubs and incidents)...........then I'm all for it. If it's just a continuation of the parochial bullshit that we've become accustomed to then GTF.
  21. my ex mother inlaw "had" that. strange that it was always worse when asked to do something Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate there is an actual condition called fibromalgia.......it's just that my cousin definitely doesn't have it! Very strange dynamic the relationship between my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin.
  22. So if they were 3 pairs for £40 you'd have worn all 3 pairs......had you not forgotten and slipped on your jakey tracky bottoms?
