  1. Rassie is nothing but a humble water boy, dontcha know
  2. Have we gassed their front row already?
  3. Scotland have been pretty rubbish here tbh
  4. But not good enough to start on the wing for the Lions apparently
  5. SA have this by the balls if they have the scrum over us.
  6. I’m far from a rugby expert, but what’s the thinking behind Watson on the bench here?
  7. I’m not sure Clarke would consider Hickey as third choice in that situation. If Taylor was fit, then he would have a player who he knows and trusts, playing at a decent level and who has turned up for Scotland squads despite knowing his game time would be limited.
  8. He’s just pulled out of the U21s. Is this a senior squad thing or can he just not be bothered playing for them, he seems to pull out of every U21 squad?
  9. Are the Welsh rugby team the luckiest in sport? Not for me to say, but yes.
  10. I’m rooting for the postponement this time around, let it rain baby!
  11. He’s a bit wee but he’s been perfectly fine in the games we’ve played him in. Neat and tidy on the ball.
  12. I also think we might score this week, especially if Dumbarton are lacking a bit of confidence. Just a shame Dumbarton will score more. 4-1 Sons.
  13. Ultimately, we were told that Lennon has the final say on transfers and that the buck lies with him so he has to take the blame for this as much as anyone. I agree that the ‘recruitment team’ has been a failure so far - and it’s an experiment that I would be bringing to an end - but Lennon’s record in bringing players in has been very poor over various seasons. The whole coaching and backroom staff needs an overhaul IMO and whether the new chairman likes him and had a role in bringing Lennon in the first place is irrelevant, we are in free fall and it’s the role of a leader to take the necessary steps to take the club forward. It’s part of a wider malaise throughout the club that has been there since the start of the season and it’s only ending one way - relegation back to L2 and then a helluva job competing with the former Juniors and well-backed operations to fight our way back up here. I apologise for seeming fatalistic and I know Clyde fans have a reputation for the dramatic, but we’re all just going through the motions now and it’s not good enough.
  14. We were told on Tuesday that he knows when his time is up and he’ll go. I’ll put a fairly large sum down that we’ll limp on to a doing from Clydebank and that’ll be curtains there. Peachy.
  15. Good to see all of that much needed experience in the dressing room means we don’t do things like conceding goals right on HT, two weeks in a row
  16. Docherty, Nicoll and Jones in the same team - no pace at all three levels of the park Now THAT’S a unique formula
  17. I worry that the Falkirk players/staff will have a bit of a siege mentality and will be looking for someone to skelp for the start of a bounce back. As ever, I hope we can become the latest chapter in the Bairns' banter season, but I fear another comfortable 3-0 (at least) is on the cards here. Also, please please don't play Scott Rumsby at RB. My little heart can't take it any more.
  18. We’ve still got India and Pakistan to play
  19. The point was made last night that Andrew and McGrath were signed as more longer term projects. They may turn out to be useful players, but I’m not sure we’ve got the resources or the time to be using two summer deals like that.
  20. We've been told that our financial position is bottom end L1 at best to lower-end L2 so I'm not surprised we're struggling in terms of attracting players. I'm just not convinced we're using the meagre resources we do have nearly well enough.
  21. In terms of completely idle speculation, I do wonder if one of the people that was stringing him along was possible Quitongo? We were heavily linked with him during the summer, he went to Airdrie reasonably late in the summer IIRC and we had to play Docherty at LB early in the season because we didn't have an option there.
  22. He's effectively said that before and did so last night. He had a list of targets and lost out on some of the top names he was banking on/hoping for because they couldn't compete with teams in "lower leagues". I took this to mean League 2, but one wonders if the likes of Darvel and maybe a well-resourced LL team would be in the equation also.
