  1. It was the same with our stream last week, about half a second to a second ahead of the pictures. The streams have been decent outside of that wee issue though for me.
  2. Can anyone decipher how this lines up? TEAM v RANGERS XI | Wilson, Bain, Shiels, Lang, Rumsby, Cuddihy, Jack, Love, Cunningham, Johnston, Goodwillie SUBS: Mitchell, McNiff, Lamont, Trialist, Trialist, Robertson, Trialist Goalie and back four is apparent, but there's only one centre midfield in that lot and four wingers alongside Goodwillie. Also interesting to see the trialists on the bench, wonder if there might be a final move or two before the Betfred opener.
  3. This is my only question/fear about this, we've got one side talking about a 'fee' and the other about 'mutual compensation'. The latter suggests a nominal amount, but I'm not sure we're in a position to be paying fees for the players given our documented financial position this summer. In saying that, Lang seems pleased to be here and may have decided to grease the wheels to get back playing, so I'll give the club the trust that they've accounted for things, but it is fair to at least raise the point. On the footballing sense, it's a fucking delightful signing and makes me start looking towards mid-table and an outsider run at the play-off spots rather than the relegation spots, notwithstanding our midfield depth.
  4. There’s highlights from yesterday on Stirling’s YT channel.
  5. I'm looking at Stirling Uni to do a journalism degree, purely because it is a very creditable university for journalism in Scotland as far as I can see and can put me well on the road to my career in print media. I'm thinking however of making this a joint Honours degree with Politics as well as this is the area that I would like to work in a possible newspaper job and with my Adv History and Adv Mod Stud, which I'm taking this year, I can hopefully balance the two degrees together well. The entry qualification appears to be ABBB for Stirling and I have AAAB, so I'm hoping for a unconditional, but obviously I'll try for more grades this year to boost my chances further.
  6. This is what happens when you don't have a circus clown of a captain like Afridi and instead appoint someone with the respect of the players. With regards to the morning itself, it was indeed swinging all over the place and the main strike bowlers of Pakistan wreaked havoc, especially 18 y/o Aamer who was excellent for such a youngster and his deliveries post lunch to Smith and in particular Johnson were beauties.
  7. I don't think Contador should have done what he did but tbh, I don't see this rather unnecessary clamour to condemn Contador for his actions because as Boardman said on ITV4, this is a brutal competition and anything that can gain you an advantage in the overall competition is perfectly understandable, despite the obvious break in etiquette. This Tour is Contador's already in my view simply becuase there is no longer a shock factor in the attacks from Schleck and Contador can use the rest day to prepare for the attacks of Schleck and ensuring that he doesn't lose enough time that he cannot claw back in the TT. While I'm aware that today's stage had a long finish but Schleck could have tried to attack Contador in the major climbs ie. Aubisque to try and separate himself sufficiently to make any further gains on Thursday more damaging for Contador.
  8. Didn't know an appropriate place to put this, so I'll just put this here. I see that a few posters in this thread go to Stirling Uni and I'm considering going there in two years for my journalism degree because it was highly rated by the newspaper journalists that I've talked to. My only other option is Caley and I'm not a big fan of going there at all. Just things like the lecturers and the general ambience and resources at the university etc. Any relevant feedback would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Right, I've decided to follow the NHL in the NFL off season and also after that great Olympics, where ice hockey was pushed into my consciousness and I've selected three teams that I like and your recommendations will help me choose whom I support. So, these are the three teams: Atlanta Thrashers Columbus Blue Jackets Phoenix Coyotes Any help would be appreciated.
  10. Very delicately poised day 4 ahead as England's problem batsmen such as Cook and Bell have made good scores here and with Prior, Broad and Swann able to hit the ball a long way, England could find themselves in a good position if they adopt the correct tactics of calm against Morkel and Steyn and looking to hit the other bowlers. As for SA, their bowling has been poor apart from Morkel on this Test and Harris, who is a very underrated bowler. The decision to keep Ntini over De Wet astonished me greatly.
  11. I wonder if players like Lewis, Part, Jenkins (who will destroy Young)and possibly even Thornton have a crack at reaching the final before they're inevitably crushed by Taylor because IMO Barneveld does not have the longevity to do it over a long period anymore and Wade can crumble on a bad night(which he often has.)
