  1. Oscar Wilde once said, “Criticism is the only reliable form of autobiography." It tells you more about the psychology of the critic than what he or she criticises. Something similar is going on here
  2. One of the options in the proposal involves sending trams up Morrison street and either Lauriston place or Melville drive instead of the bridge
  3. Yeah They weren't great but they weren't that bad either and if their luck had been in they might have got something. Sacking Aberdeen Managers whenever they lose at Tynecastle isn't any more sustainable a strategy than sacking Hearts managers for failing to win at Pittodrie But these people have obviously watched Aberdeen more than we have and maybe that was Aberdeen at their best.
  4. That’s enough Islam puns those are quite suffi-cient
  5. “Infidels” is Latin what’s wrong with plain English Bloody Romans coming over ‘ere What have they ever done for us?
  6. Possibly not any more but while it was In force the offensive behaviour at the football act criminalised “behaviour which “expressed” or “stirred up hatred” against individuals or groups on the grounds of their membership or presumed membership of (i) a religious group (ii) a social or cultural group with a perceived religious affiliation, or (iii) their nationality or ethnic or national origins where this behaviour was also “likely to incite public disorder” The orange order obviously satisfies the 2nd category and you could argue the 3rd one as well
  7. It’s a frustrating yet immutable truth that not every season can be “above average”
  8. You asked for this https://youtu.be/J1c2KzJbcGA?si=4bOonfeifltuYqvo
  9. I didn’t realise she had died that’s fair cheered me up thanks
  10. I was at the game so don’t have the benefit of the replays but at the time I assumed the VAR foul was for the foul on Kingsley just before the one on Beni that everyone else seems to think it was
  11. There’s quite a lot of bilingual street signs around there including “Bacon Street ” which must be tricky to translate
  12. When a club attracted disparaging remarks about weird cults and footballing hipsters from Partick Fans then you know they’ve definitely taken things a little too far
  13. Good point well made although compared to the situation Shankly took over Klopp had it easy
  14. I think the steak pie is 50p more than the Scotch pie but it’s well worth spending the extra
  15. True but he's not finished yet, although he'd probably need a, frankly unlikely, clean sweep this season to surpass Dalglish
  16. I didn’t understand that picture at first it Took a moment
  17. It didn’t feel like as many as 8k, I assume you’re just exaggerating for rhetorical effect anyway it’s a home sellout, the weather forecast is relatively good, it’s Saturday 3pm and Aberdeen are more box office than Dundee so it should be pretty close to capacity
  18. Bloody hell you are of course correct It only feels like it must be nearly over by now
  19. The Doric hordes descend on the Athens of the north The 16 point gap is mitigated by Aberdeen having three games in hand but their fixture list in February is tough and if they’re going to catch up they’ll need more than a point at Tynecastle Hearts have looked a bit shaky in the two outings since the break and Aberdeen appear to have got their a point at St Johnstone thanks to some very fortunate VAR calls so both sides are more than capable of fucking this up but it’s Hearts vs Aberdeen at Tynecastle so I reckon we’ll be fine More importantly this will be the first match after Dry January so regardless of the result I’m looking forward to it
