The Ultimate Super Ayr Thread

I was referring to the post match sing-a-longs tbh. Specifically that the high heid yins seem to think those in the hub post match are representative of the wider support. -

Our highlights packages are dreadful and have been since the club dispensed with Wuffster, who produced a top quality product. -

P&B Chess League - Season 8 coming soon….

This will prove interesting. Invite sent to @Caro-Kann -
No, he's playing to the gallery. That's the problem, if the needle is to be moved those in the middle (undecided and soft nos) need convinced. This won't do that. We're just going through the motions with Humza. One step back to take two steps forward.

Arbroath v Ayr battle for the bottom
Trogdor replied to ryanayr1987's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Do we have to? This will be a real shame game of a contest. I normally enjoy a trip to Arboath, the steak and black pudding pie is usually worth it on its own. However, I'll no be going this time. -

Speaking of central midfielders. Dempsey has been pretty meh as of late. -

I did see an interesting table. This is our last 100 Scottish Championship games compared to the other 4 teams who have been here over these 3 seasons. I'm not sure how much I would read into it. -

We are Championship Ready. Sometimes you have to take one step backwards to go two steps forward. When you take the emotion out of it we've still progressed as a football club. We are United. -

It is grim when we are relying on two teams being worse than us. As someone else said if this turns into another relegation fight that will have been three of the last four seasons. It is hard to define that as progress. It also really grinds my gears that second is seen as some fantastic result last season when we got ragdolled 8-0 in the playoffs. That was humiliating not something special. A different matter entirely if you made it to the final and lost by the odd goal in stoppage time. It was on a par with 2018/19 for me when ICT comfortably dispatched us in the semis. Our attendances are taking a hit as well. Arbroath's average attendance is higher than ours. Even looking at the ICT attendance earlier in the season. We had 1,989 brave souls attend that shame game and that was our first home league game of the season. Yesterday it was 1,826 and that was buoyed with the under 13s offer. We are going backwards at a worrying rate of knots. We need to do the basics better both on and off the pitch. The premier league ready patter can get in the sea as well. Fat load of use that's going to be if we are relegated. -

You've now overstayed your welcome. Aye, he looks a player. I've actually to play one of you DKBs in a league decider. Will be interesting to see how Caro Kann does next season. -

On kids, my son (7 year old) has been to Ayr games. He's never seen us win though. He also goes to watch Stennie when he can (they are our local team). He is in their community programme and they make a real effort to get them along (free season ticket + £70 for an accompanying adult season ticket). Him and his pals gave the Stennie team a guard of honour for their game against Peterhead a few weeks back. He was getting high fives and fist pumps from the players. He has seen Stennie win. My daughter (4 years old) hasn't been subjected to the football as yet. She occasionally watches it on the TV with me. I'm sure she'll be at Somerset soon enough. -
