  1. French Super Cup on BT at the moment. Monaco 1-0 up and not looking phased, despite the two big names they've lost so far this summer.
  2. Excluding penalties, he scored a goal every 141 minutes last season. Would be a reasonable punt for £45K.
  3. There's a lot of very good stuff out there on the major leagues, especially the Premier Leaugue, from guys like StatsBombs, Analtytics FC and Squawka to name a few. But what I've seen on Scottish football so far is utterly dreadful.
  4. Who's the author on that? I gave up reading after a couple of minutes. He's got Stubbs rated very highly due to a massive increase in PPG (which would obviously happen when you take over a team that's just been relegated and is playing in a weaker league ). Also, Gary Holt 5th
  5. That's where Loy comes into his own IMO. Really like the way he drops into the gap between the opposition defence and midfield to create space for others. We drew too many home games last season, most of them against teams that sat in. Having someone who can play between the lines will be very useful.
  6. A win on Saturday and we're guaranteed to be a seeded team in the next round.
  7. That's was Austin's 50th career goal today. Hopefully he's still a Falkirk player when he nets his 100th.
  8. When did we get 'shagged' by Morton? We had 3 draws in the league, a 1-0 loss in a tight game and the 2-0 cup defeat where Houston tinkered with the team.
  9. Don't see a huge issue with him training with us. It's hardly costing us and by keeping him fit we either make him more attractive to those willing to pay the compensation or end the window with him still a Falkirk player and ready to play.
  10. That would be some signing for West Ham. Thought bigger clubs would be in for him.
  11. You signed half a new team in Jan, so I'm not sure you can use the upturn in results as proof alone that he's 'one of, if not the best in the league'.
  12. My post had nothing to do with Falkirk. I was genuinely interested why such a big claim could be made about somebody who only made 9 appearences for St Mirren and played the first half of the season at the 17th placed team in League Two. If he's impressed in that short period and St Mirren fans are happy with the signing then fair enough, but it's still a big shout.
  13. Don't forget the 2 that Clark scored that season. Gamechangers IMO.
  14. Weren't Real holding out for upwards of £70m from Utd/Chelsea? English clubs get the pish ripped out them in the transfer market and rightly so.
  15. Muirhead has scored 5/5 in competitive games for us. We're going to romp the league with Hippo and Austin winning pens all over the shop and Aero smashing them home.
  16. Aye, would have been interesting to see how his career went if he hadn't missed so much of his time at Brentford through injury.
  17. He played 26 games and was involved in a goal every 136 minutes. That's a pretty decent output for a winger, especially in a team that finished 7th. Where possible, I'd much rather put my faith in the something quantifiable like goals and assists than the opinions of fans. For me, there's enough there to suggest he can be a capable player for us. He's not going to single-handedly win us the league, but I'm fairly content with the attacking options we've got.
  18. Wouldn't feel too sorry for him. I saw him on the way out the ground getting into a top of the range Merc with a tidy as f**k bird. What a guy.
  19. Aye, Muirhed at least ran at his man when he got up the pitch as opposed to Kidd who checked inside/backwards every time an opponent came near him and was blowing out his arse after half an hour.
