  1. I thought Hippolyte's goal in the first home game against Dunfermline might have been worthy of inclusion. Seem to remember it being a neat, one-touch move up the park and a curled effort from the edge of the box. The shortlist is a little heavy on free-kicks IMO. Craigen against Morton gets my vote.
  2. Best it hit was about £23. Held for the end and was raging while they stroked it around casually.
  3. His press conference was quite something. Saying he was going to give the players a 'kick up the arse' and that they needed to 'keep it out at one end and stick it in the net at the other'. What a visionary.
  4. Correct scores are usually my go-to and I've been close a couple of times. Atletico have kept clean sheets in 3/4 home CL games this season and 53% of their league matches, so I'll probably plump for 1 or 2 nil.
  5. Apparently it's not just Scottish football Sky don't give a f**k about.
  6. Barca going with the same formation and personnel (bar 1 player) as the PSG game and to exactly the same effect. They've battered Sevilla. Can't wait to see them employ this system against one of the elite.
  7. Excellent first half from Hoffenheim. Their expansive tactics are Bayern causing all manner of problems. The front two have bullied the defence and Rudy has been running the show in midfield. Bayern missing a few key players and their replacements haven't quite been up to it so far. Coman has been ok, but Sanches has been wasteful in possession and Rafinha is all over the place.
  8. I didn't go that day, so can't really comment on the performance of either side. I'm not going to read too much into a result where we were missing 3 (arguably 4) of our strongest back line and only played 1 up front though.
  9. Our league record against Morton this season is the same as Hibs last season (D3 L1). Even the scorelines are identical. Nothing to say we can't beat them over two legs.
  10. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-boss-pedro-caixinha-pulls-10148443 Another belter from Gavin Berry. Apparently rescuing a draw at home to a side you've already beaten 4 times this season is a 'tactical masterstroke'
  11. That was only their 2nd win in their last 8 games. We've taken 14 points in that period compared to their 8. Still think we hold the advantage over them, but can't afford to lose at Tannadice.
  12. West Ham tend to be a bit delusional about their place in English football. That said, he hasn't contributed anywhere near as much as he did for Hull. Hopefully just needs a sustained period of games to bed in.
  13. Bolivia strolling in 2-0. I played it safe with the lay and cashed after the first goal. Well worth their lead from what I saw.
  14. Tempted to lay Argentina tonight. They're without 3 of the back 4 that started v Chile, both holding midfielders, Messi and Higuain. Plus it's at altitude and they haven't won on their last 2 visits.
  15. In the first half of the season they weren't sweeping away teams like you'd expect, but they've definitely upped it since Xmas and are now further ahead of 2nd place than they were last season and their points per game is only 0.10 less too.
  16. Think he's just having a poor season, as he's only missed one game through injury. He's only got 6 goals in all comps so far compared with 32 last season. Bayern look a much better side when Thiago plays at number 10 IMO.
  17. That Inter game was a mental one from a staticial POV. 7 goals from 8 shots on target is ridiculous. Also, that's 22% of Atalanta's total goals conceded for the season coming in one game!
  18. Anyone think we might be better equipped for the play-offs this time around? Obviously still a long way to go, but we seem to be coming onto a game as opposed to burning out like last season.
  19. Strange game in Turin. Juve have been completely dominant and looked to be heading in at HT 1-0 up having limited Milan to a single attempt on goal. Excellent counter attack to grab an equaliser with only their second shot.
  20. I'd say West Ham are consistent. They've only beaten Southampton above them, but have won 8/12 against teams below them. Give them a decent run of fixtures against those sides and we'll start to see some good performances from Snodgrass. Caroll being back is a boost as well.
  21. Minnesota United lost 5-1 in their first ever MLS match and have opted not to sign any designated players. Potential whipping boys this season?
