  1. I know it’s a cliche but it’s absolutely vital Rovers get off to a good start. No way can we afford the same start as last season. That said we are a totally different team to last year. Even the young players like Fagan and Clarke who finished the season have improved - thought they were both outstanding last Saturday. I know our record off late at Stenny is better than decent but would happily accept a draw.
  2. I predict it will be a very tight league from top to bottom with the team finishing bottom on a record high points total
  3. I see Rovers are Bookies favourites to finish bottom. Perfect just the way we like it.
  4. Has been on trial as far as know. Still not 100% fit ftom what I gather but definitely worth a punt
  5. Currie voted in team of the year by his peers but is ditched! Is this Fahey getting his mate in.
  6. Was awesome for us at the tailend of the season . Sometimes that happens that a player hits it off with one club over another. The player Rovers saw Scott Chaplain as was half the player Dumbarton fans saw- thats football.
  7. Kevin and Joe seem to have a good partnership and it's encouraging that dome really good quality players have committed so early which is some difference to the same time last year. Harper has already stated that he is looking at the promotion play offs as a minimum which is pretty bold. Should be an interesting and probably open league next season. Wouldn't be surprised if the team who wins the title has a record low points total and the team that goes to the relegation play off with a record high points total. We'll see.
  8. Fish got quite a bad injury before the turn of the year and struggled to get his fitness back. He came against QP and was whipped off at h/t as the game seemed to pass him by. As far as I know there was no fall out, more a natural parting of the ways. Great Rovers player scored the winner that clinched the 2015 championship.
  9. Congratulations Clyde. Best football team in L2 this season IMO. Well done to my good mate Highland Bully Wee- enjoy tge night Gaz.
  10. Comisserations to Berwick fans. A difficult season compounded by a very painful afternoon. Have many memories of great away days. I really do hope you bounce back next season.
  11. Was thinking the same myself. The word progressive is being thrown about but the question to be asked are these clubs sustainable who sugar daddied up to the eyeballs. Look at EK where the money to fund them is allegedly qustionable. They may have less support than the likes of Rovers , Cowdens and the Berwicks but financially they will run over the top of these teams in the league.
  12. Quite an interesting couple of games coming up here. Clyde should be favourites but I wouldn't discount Annan. Clyde the better footballing team IMO while Annan are a physical stuffy team who try and stop Clyde playing .
  13. Commiserations guys. It's one bad result but what a terrific season. Sometimes you have to hold your hand up to brilliance. Dobbie is probably a PL player. More important for Mo is preparing for the difficult 2nd season in L1. Good luck.
  14. Cheers Gaz. Still can't believe Rovers did it. Goid luck in the play offs mate.
  15. Bang on the money here. The two best signings by Harper.
  16. Good to hear the fan base is increasing. The few years Rovers were in L1 our crowds went down. I think you have to go for it. The manager has done a great job.
  17. Well done Wasps. What a brilliant achievement. The players and management deserve massive credit. Wee Trouts still banging in the goals and Conor chipping in too.
  18. Good luck to Mo for the play offs. Absolutely brilliant first season in L1. How do Mo fans and the club in general feel about promotion. Does the club really want it? Or are the Board afraid of going up and then back down Brechin style(and down again to L2). Hope the long suffering fans enjoy it- you deserve it. Worse case scenario you get a bit of extra cash from the extra games. Our old chairman Frank Meade loved the play offs as it was 2 games with 1000+ , was like winning the lottery.
  19. Good luck Berwick. Got to try and keep a clean sheet, easier said than done.
  20. Wharton is pretty much a good honest player. His only glaring mistakes this season was when played out of position in midfield. He really knuckled down though the last few weeks clearing his lines which is so important in this league. Smart as mentioned before has been awesome for us led the line and provided a real goal threat his winner v Edinburgh was a brilliant finish and landed a hammerblow to Berwick's chances.
  21. Also special mention to Fotheringham and Wharton. Wharton had a shaky start of the season playing alongside our "risk free" signing policy which is code for the worst Rovers side you will ever see. He picked an injury which ruled him out for weeks. But the last few weeks he his back to his best - no nonsense clear your lines mode he more than played his part in shoring up the defence. Fotheringham again does the quiet unsung work was MoTM and scored the third goal last week that finally killed off Berwick.
  22. I will miss the post match interviews. Heeeeeeerrrrrrrreeeeee's Jonny! That was the Shining wasn't it. One flew over the cuckoo's nest was more appropriate for him, Good luck in the play off's Berwick
