  1. I will forever remember this game as the one in which Lee Erwin came off the bench and resembled a footballer. Load of shite, tbh. Accies could have been four or five ahead by the 65th minute. Obviously we made some changes and brought some of our better players on, and could have nicked a draw, but it would have been rough on Accies who played pretty well, IMO.
  2. Christ sake. Ridiculous from Cammy there, and Findlayson is looking very raw. Got to be honest, I don't think Cammy's got a future with us. He just hasn't quite got it.
  3. To be fair, it's been a couple years since we hung a teenaged midfielder out to dry on the left side of defence.
  4. Very little movement across the team, resulting in endless, aimless punts forward that we're not winning because nobody can be arsed. Quaner's looked vaguely lively; Dennis still looks off the pace. Cammy's busy but lacking quality. Ethan is having an off day. Here's hoping that was just our traditional shite half.
  5. Probably more that the kid needs a rest. Has he missed a game this season?
  6. There ya go, still a strong side. Can't work out the formation, mind. 4-5-1/4-3-3 with Henderson and Quaner wide, maybe?
  7. Teams are 100% entitled to rotate at any point of the season and it's just luck of the draw if you end up against a weakened team or not. Likewise the teams that are safe have earned the right to try to bring youngsters through, especially this season when there's been no reserve games etc. It's unfortunate at best for the teams who are hoping results might go their way, but that's just the way it is. To be fair, we went to Dingwall with a bare bones squad and won 3-1, so our commitment can't be questioned. Furthermore, a few teams picked up draws against us in Feb in games that might have gone differently had we not been completely shagged. Finally, and this is the most important point, if it was actually imperative that all teams played against balanced squads/consistent team selections etc then the transfer window would never be allowed to overlap the start of the season.
  8. I'm not complaining about the social media blackout this weekend, but it's gonna make following this pretty tough without coughing up for the stream. Might go old school and watch it on Teletext.
  9. Look on the bright side, Ton fans: a few seasons ago you finished several points above us in the league. Good times.
  10. Nah, it was two games and one suspended, so he's back on the touchline. Edit: he sat out the ICT and County games.
  11. Got to be honest, I'd paid zero attention to league one this season and hadn't realised until about two weeks ago that they weren't just skooshing it. I have to say, I would absolutely watch a Falkirk/Morton playoff final. Though I suspect Morton will just about keep their heads above 11th.
  12. Jim's talking up his talent/value in the Record today. It now just looks like we're trying to sell him https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jamie-mcgrath-could-star-celtic-24009422 After Richard Tait was at it earlier in the week, is this the first ever example of a club trying to unsettle its own player in the build up to a major semi final?
  13. Fairly damning indictment of the strikers we've been running with for most the season, not that any of us needed much convincing on that front. Dennis gets a pass; the others have largely struggled.
  14. I think he'd do better in a team with better attackers. Had the sense all season that something wasn't quite clicking. He's clearly a great player - brilliant on the ball, can beat a man, good in tight spaces, eye for a pass - but I don't think we've got the best out of him.
  15. Not sure he's got the two goals in him across the season that we'd need to bridge the chasm, sadly.
  16. There were quotes in the paper the other week from one of our guys - was it the Kibble board member, maybe? - basically saying exactly that: our strategy is built around getting proper fees for these players. Of course, as flagged above, the issue is we can't force the boy to sign an extension.
  17. Us Vs Hibs is probably the box office choice. The combined forces of Jack Ross teams shiting it on the big occasions squaring off against our complete inability to beat a Jack Ross team. Then again, I probably made a similar post prior to the LC semi final, right before an utter non-appearance from anyone in a St Mirren shirt at Hampden.
