  1. The Celtic fans are way more rattled than I was expecting, tbh.
  2. We enjoyed lots of meaningless possession against Hibs at the weekend too.
  3. At least we gave them a fucking game, btw. Oran Kearney's first match two years ago feels like the last time we actually stood up to either of the OF.
  4. I think we're left a bit short because that's the job Sheron was brought in to do, and he doesn't seem to be up to it. You can make allowances in your team for a complete spoiler, and forgive him if his passing is a bit awry, but not if he's not doing the protective DM work properly. So he's been dropped because he's shite, but it means someone else is going to have to not play their natural game to cover that role.
  5. I'm with you here; I've been saying Rangers for the title since our game against them. Rangers have a pace and a fizz about them that Celtic don't seem to. Even if Celtic's winning habit gets them over the line, we're going to see the closest title race for a lot of years. Also, I think you'd need to be a stick-on title contender to beat us 3-0
  6. Also good to see Connolly start. It's not quite the complete shitebag line-up I was expecting.
  7. Where in midfield? McGrath and Connoly surely wide. That would leave the Sheron role, why not, he must be good at something!! Yeah, Jr will be out wide. His work rate is pretty good, tbf.
  8. Just about managed to get evens on Celtic to win by 2 or more, Saints not to score. Traitor's bet, perhaps, but times are tough.
  9. It's been genuinely decent. I've had disagreements on here before with people because I hate overly partisan commentary, even from my own team. You know the sort: the screamy/shouty, lose control of vocal capacity if we nearly score sort of thing. However, this season it's been done very well* and I'd like to think opposition fans could watch/listen without wanting to stick knitting needles in their ears. It's still one-sided, as you'd expect, but they've massively reduced the cringe factor. * Possibly because instances of us nearly scoring are few and far between.
  10. True, but the fact remains he could have nipped it in the bud very easily. There is a chance he's doing it to take some pressure off the players. Bad result on Saturday, though I do believe 3-0 was very, very harsh. Let's keep focus on the perceived injustice until the Celtic game's out the way. Maybe.
  11. Completely agree - I was going for predicted line-up rather than what I'd like to see. Interesting shout about putting him out wide. It actually wouldn't be a huge shock. Another interesting shout. He probably is better suited to this sort of game, and set pieces are going to be our best shot at doing damage, especially with JS back in the line-up.
  12. Yeah, we need to leave it behind. When the news first came out at the back end of last week, I thought we were going for 'dignified slience' and I liked that. We accepted the misfortune and got on with it. Do our complaining in private if required. Continual whinging is all a little bit Heartsy. (No offence, great bunch of lads, thanks for the keeper, etc.)
  13. Still no thread for this. Least anticipated top-flight game we've had for some time, I reckon. I shan't be watching. This is looking a lot like a foregone conclusion, sadly. We do have Shaughnessy back, and he's been a huge miss. We'll almost certainly revert to a version of 4-5-1, and Goodwin will almost certainly still pick Sheron. I think we'll go for the stuffiest possible midfield. ------------Bobby------------- Fraser - Shaughnessy - McCarthy - Tait McGrath--Foley-Sheron-MacPherson (or Erhahon)-Durmus ------------------Obika---------------------------------------- Gap to Obika intentional. 0-4.
  14. Bunch of killjoys in here. Though it must be noted that we started that season with Cole Kpekawa at the back. I think I'd become a cult hero in comparison with him.
  15. Would still take him in a heartbeat, not least because we only have two centre halves. He will stroll the Championship in ways I can't quite describe. You will develop confusing feelings in the trouser department for him. That is all.
  16. Well, they said he was "one for the future". Who knew that they were just missing the word 'dystopian' from that sentence?
  17. If it was the Saints squad doing the shooting, the grouse would be pretty safe.
  18. According to Hamilton Advertiser it's 3 youth players. OK, cool. I hope they're ok (sure they will be) and that you've kept it isolated.
  19. Yeah, I'd stick with Zlamal. If we play like we did in patches on Saturday this could be very, very bad. So let the loanee take the goals against.
  20. No. The sentence 'He didn't want to train on a plastic pitch' could be ended after five words and remain factually correct.
