  1. This has come up a few times, and it's an important point so I'll choose my words as carefully as I can: believing Doncaster is a dick, and believing the SPFL could have handled lockdown better, are opinions that can co-exist with believing that Hearts should get right the f**k down and that sporting integrity has been upheld. Those beliefs are not necessarily mutually exclusive. I hope that's clear.
  2. At least we now know how the furloughed HMFC staff have been keeping themselves busy during lockdown.
  3. We still don't really know how things will pan out, you daft twat
  4. Yeah, the thing about Magennis keeps coming up, but he keeps on not quite being one of our best two CMs. I'd pick Flynn (when fit), Foley and MacPherson ahead of him in the middle at the moment.
  5. There's a Gus McPherson joke to be made in relation to how well stocked we are in the middle of the park... That's Cammy, Foley, Magennis, Flynn, Erhahon, Sheron, McGrath all vying for, at most, three positions in the middle. Of course, McGrath is a 10 or wide, and Magennis will be playing wide right, but still, plenty of options.
  6. Yeah, I thought Jak might be more likely as he knows the setup and played well with Obika. It'll always come down to money, especially in the current climate, so even a slightly higher wage package elsewhere will edge it. I'm reasonably relaxed and flat-out refuse to get excited until the guys have signed nowadays.
  7. Along with the reassuring words about Jack Baird coming into contention and young players being promoted? Yeah, possibly.
  8. Mellon's Paisley background saw him being linked with us every time we were recruiting, which has been approx twice a year for the past decade. I always thought he looked like a potentially intriguing appointment, though there never seemed to be any actual substance to the rumours. Will be interesting to see how he gets on and whether we've either missed out massively or dodged a bullet.
  9. You could see by the way he was running last season that he wasn't at all comfortable. Fingers crossed, for him and for us. Good news about Erhahon and Baird, too. That might reflect a lowering of standards on our part, but if you've got to bring young squad/fringe players in, it might as well be ones with as many first team appearances as they have.
  10. Was it Pet or Lincoln that was getting precious about comments about Deans' height? I assume they've leapt on this guy, too.
  11. I love the ideas that a) they quite like ICT for voting the 'right' way as if ICT's vote had anything whatsoever to do with helping Hearts and b) they're going to take revenge by refusing to support their club on the road. A huge following at every away ground next season would be reasonably beneficial to the team, but whatever.
  12. Honestly, there's 600+ pages of people on this thread roundly dismissing all your points here. There's no point arguing as it's been done to death, and also you clearly won't be swayed, so shall we just leave it?
  13. 400 pages hence and JTS is still arguing that the relegation is somehow unfair, despite being based entirely, 100% on sporting merit. What's interesting is that the unfairness is now to do with the reduced scope of the Championship next season, even though that wasn't a known factor when he first started claiming it was unfair. Get right in the sea, mate.
  14. Some amount of premature celebrating in this thread. I haven't seen people being that happy, that early since Neilson did this:
  15. They've never been ones for blaming themselves for being shite, sadly.
  16. Yeah. If you've got £500 to spare, you don't need that £50.
