If you're being completely threadbare, then we need a striker, a centre half and a fullback. Other players - MacPherson, Erhahon, Flynn, Foley - can and have covered in defence before. Magennis and Flynn can play wide right, and McGrath can play off the striker. Morias is an option at wide left if Durmus was injured. It's far from ideal, and means the squad is thin as all hell, but we can fill a team and players can cover. Hopefully fans* will then be back in the ground by the time the January window comes round. * Non-season-ticket fans, obviously - that's where any 'extra' money will be coming from.

That would be Low Murray, I think. You would hope/assume this decision has been made after talking to Kyle and that he's keen to do it. I know it's sacrilegious, but I still can't make room for him in the middle of the park, so will be interesting to see where he plays and which of Cammy/Foley is supposedly missing out.

Ah well. Still, shows we're looking at the right kind of targets still. Elsewhere, Magennis has been made club captain and Foley is vice. I thought Foley would get the armband, but I've no issues with Magennis. I hope this means he's going to be fit.

To be fair, there was one guy (you may have seen it) who actually was accusing us of "cheating again" by getting the game called off. Beyond insane. Obviously I very much hope we'll be well clear of 11th next season, and I also can't see anyone challenging Hearts in the Championship, but the most hilarious possible outcome for next season would be for us to beat Hearts over two legs in a playoff. (I actually have a feeling we're going to do good things, but shhhhhhhh!)

It's testament to the sheer twattery we've seen from Hearts fans that he's getting any bites at all. The bar is pretty low, so he doesn't seem like that much of a caricature.

Mad to think this game was meant to happen three days after we got taken to extra time and penalties by Motherwell. Our squad was thin and tired and we'd just chucked a three-goal half time lead. And then Paisley suffered flash floods on the Friday lunchtime and there was no way the game could happen. Did those floods relegate Hearts? No, Hearts relegated Hearts. But every little helps.
