    Our recruitment has been so much better recently. Obviously we'll never get 100% of them right, but we're definitely heading in the right direction. It just feels considered and part of a plan. Feels weird after some of the transfer windows we've endured in the past decade.

    By the same token, other clubs should be able to challenge clubs that are taking the absolute piss, and also name their price, in this case, getting them to f**k. I'm not disagreeing with you at all, but this is very much part of the process Hearts and Partick have chosen to go down.

    Absolutely LOVING the idea that Hearts should be due such huge compensation just because they have absolutely blown their budget and spent well beyond their means, yet again. Hearts are literally hoping the pandemic will bail them out for yet another financial clusterfuck that is entirely their own fucking fault. Get down, and shut up.

    This thread is far from dead. Despite their relegation, I fully expect Hearts to continue to push for reconstruction, what with it being for the good of Scottish football and not just about saving Hearts, etc.

    Seeing clubs - any clubs - signing players feels lovely and normal. I don't just mean against the context of the Hearts fiasco; in terms of the world generally. I really hope this thread gets busy now.

    If it's a 6 8 split the bottom teams would be playing 40 games though. Yep. I had 8/6 in my head for some reason. (The reason being it's probably the marginally less horrific of the two solutions.)

    I'm not in favour at all, but the second bottom could just join the playoffs at the semi final stage, as they'll have played the same number of games (36) as the Champ sides at that point.
