  1. Bookies finding this one as difficult to call as anyone else: The best value is probably the 4/6 on less than 2.5 goals:
  2. I think that's a decent signing for you. I'm a bit pissed off we didn't retain him after last season.
  3. Reckon we'll be able to talk about football on here very soon.
  4. I legit have a tooth missing at the back somewhere, so it's a fair cop.
  5. Keep a few rare breeds as a hobby. St Johnstone away fans?
  6. That's rough, man. Usually the worst you suffer following St Johnstone is loneliness.
  7. Just... Don't. It's not worth even a second of the mental energy it takes to work out what he's thinking.
  8. This just a typical St Mirren thread, tbh. St Johnstone fans all over it as usual.
  9. Quite: as the team that was established first, you have first dibs.
  10. Well I don't see Scott giving us 2 millions and either would the banks, so I don't see where you get the 2 millions from. He was joking about that part.
  11. These international fixtures (and our inability to qualify for the knockout bit of the LC) are fucking this season, though. There's more in October, too. Can we not just have some football? So stop-start.
  12. We have the core of a squad on two-year deals now, mind. We need to stay up - desperately - and then hopefully there will be less costly churn in future windows.
  13. Bizarre. There was plenty of comments from Ton fans about it, many of them negative. You can follow them in the comment s to the below tweet. Now stop talking shite. There's a good lad.
  14. I think as of right now, that's a fair assumption. I think there's still a chance for him to forge a future with us, but it may depend on how he handles the rest of this season. It may also depend on which league we're shaping up to be in by around January time. If we're in trouble, then you could imagine Baird coming back into the fold for another season in the Championship.
  15. Agree with that, though MacKenzie seems to be making noises about those injury issues being behind him and that he's now fallen in love with the game again. That tallies with rumours that were going round that his issues weren't entirely physical*, and that, for a while, he might not kick a ball again for anyone. Mind he played with an undetected concussion in that game when you horsed us 4-1 at Cappielow... that was the August and he didn't play again until December. He can't remember any part of the Cappielow game. He eventually played 18 games that season, then got bombed out by Stubbs in the close season, which coincided with achilles surgery. I think that knocked him back significantly and he then didn't feature again until the relegation run-in. He was truly immense against Dundee United. So while it appears he has a horrendous record, I think he's the sort of player for whom mental wellbeing plays a huge role and, hopefully, he's in a good place now. * I'm not making light of that there, just for the record; I've personally suffered from depression and anxiety, and it's fucking horrendous.
  16. Seems reasonable. I wouldn't want Killie recalling Waters in late October or something.
  17. All sorts of idiots on Twitter (I know; I was surprised as well) from both sides - surely faux outrage that he's going to Morton (and Morton fans apparently annoyed they've signed a Saints player). I mean... what grown adult actually gives a f**k? I reckon it's a good move for everyone involved. Playing under Hopkin could be good for him, too.
  18. If I ever need cheering up, I just think about Connolly in those playoff games. Rattled barely even began to cover it.
  19. Surprising, to say the least. But if we're signing Broadfoot, Baird was going to be fourth choice CH. He's a good player; bit error prone sometimes, but not afraid to put his head where it matters. I'm hoping this will improve him and we'll get a better player back. Even recently, people have been suggesting he could still be a future Saints captain. Will follow this with interest. Good signing for Morton, IMO.
  20. Just beat me to it. He still is decent. He's a good signing for you. Still young. I'm staggered, tbh.
