  1. Possibly, though with the benefit of hindsight, some of those fees we splashed around were a little rich, given what happened to the game (and St Mirren) in the 90s.
  2. Cheers pal. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Jack Ross has a weirdly mixed transfer record so far - some huge successes, a couple of perma-crocks and several mediocre squad players.
  3. He's signed for us, apparently. Any word on what sort of player he is? Suitable for the first team squad at our level?
  4. Well, he himself tweeted that he had signed. I know literally nothing about him, beyond what Google has just told me. 19, left Well to go to Burnley last summer. Must have something if they felt he was worth signing. In McAllister and Mallan, we've just sent two great players who have yet to feature at a lower level than Burnley play at, so fingers crossed.
  5. Nah. Worst we'll end up with is a few radiation-created superheroes in a few years' time.
  6. Next time someone feels like asking Rudolph Hucker why he has such a bad reputation score on P&B... carry on. The results are fucking hilarious.
  7. And if it's grown men acting like children, you're fine staying right here.
  8. Nah mate, it's 9th place plus three League One teams in the playoffs. Bullet dodged.
  9. You say that, but he did drive the fastest milk cart in the west, so he'll always have that. RIP Ernie.
  10. It's like that Simpsons episode when the teachers point out that not only are Bart's grades poor, but he actually drags down the grades of those who sit near him.
  11. I think there are still concerns over our strikeforce, though Cammy Smith is weighing in with more goals than we perhaps expected him to. What a signing he has been. The next few matches are important for Gavin Reilly; he needs to find goals again soon before his form gets labelled a slump, IMO. Plus, we are clearly still capable of taking a pumping, as we found out at your place and EEP already this season. That said, we're a win away from ending the first quarter at the top of the league and I honestly never believed that would be the case. I still think we're going to finish third; I expect the Arabs to get their act together and win the league, and I think Dunfermline simply score too many goals not to challenge.
  12. Phew. Good. I checked the Morton thread earlier to check they were all ok and it's a fucking car crash in there. No wonder they were so happy when we were shite: it clearly gave some meaning/direction to their lives. Still, though, good to hear we're still top. Keep the updates coming.
  13. Is your chairman flying out to Paisley to make him an offer? There's an international airport there, if that helps.
  14. It's odd: there was no shortage of Ton fans helpfully pointing out our league position last year. Yet this season they seem to have withdrawn their service. How are we expected to keep track of our league position without their help? I hope the fact we are top of the league hasn't escaped their notice.
  15. We're a machine. A machine that turns out talented-but-petite-wingers-cum-attacking-midfielders.
