  1. I'm choosing to take it as a positive sign. If we're in a position to let go players of his ability and standing because there's just too much competition in the squad, then we are in a very good place.
  2. Presumably a nominal fee thrown in as well, unless we're just letting him go on a free to save coin.
  3. It's certainly disappointing as he's been a great servant for us. But Gallagher has been great, Dunne looks solid now, and Gogic is Gogic. I guess Big Joe is too senior a player to be playing back-up. He could easily get another top flight gig, IMO. Could see him at someone like Killie or Livi, maybe.
  4. I'm getting big danger signs here, mainly because I'm feeling somewhat confident. What Saturday showed is that we are, on our day, a sometimes ruthless counterattacking side. Hibs will play on the front foot so that could suit us. Obviously we saw against Motherwell, reduced to 10 men, that we struggled somewhat against a team holding a lead. I think this could be a good game. Hibs marginal favourites IMO but we have some absolute monster players now from back to front. Sneaky 2-1 home win. Main and O'Hara for us, 2x Ayunga assists.
  5. Exactly what @Captain Saintsible said: Celtic had no ground to play in and needed us. Shame you took liberties with that signage; fortunately it was taken down sharply. I'd like to think we wouldn't be so quick to come to Celtic's aid in the future.
  6. I mean, I could come back and talk about different levels of expectation: one team was hopeful of a run in Europe while the other finished last season as one of the worst teams ever in the top flight. But honestly, I'm out of the energy required to debate which Dundee team is the most disappointing to their respective fans.
  7. Fair enough. TBH, I've already spent more of my Sunday night than I was expecting debating which underperforming Dundee side is underperforming the hardest, so happy to take your word for it.
  8. I clearly know Morton are a worse team than you seem to.
  9. Looks like we're just a name they've dropped in. Most the articles seem to be Motherwell as the lead name. Fine with me, he wouldn't fit how we play. And if he did, I'd sooner Henderson got some game time.
  10. He got pumped 3-0 at home to St Mirren today*. * At least, I think he was on the park.
  11. Stuck a fiver on Baccus to get booked after his warning, it was an absolute stick-on. Free money. Delighted for big Curtis. We'd been the better team by a distance, though It'd were coming back into it and looking lively. Yer man Harkes needs to stay on his fucking feet, though.
  12. Hoping there's a nice dependable illegal stream for this one. United's recent comedy stylings should not overshadow the fact they've got a great, talented squad, ambitious owners and a manager. They are favourites for this but I think we'll give them a game here. Narrow 2-1 home win. BTTS looks a nap.
  13. No wonder the squad has needed clear the air talks with that sort of profanity fouling the atmosphere at Tannadice. And from a senior citizen, too. For shame.
  14. Shame there's not been any available who'll work with Ross.
  15. Surely we'll be on the phone to Sevco to see if they want to take Reid now. Wonder if we might even drop/lower our sell-on demands. Just can't see the boy getting any minutes with us, which kinda kills the whole 'we're best for his development' claim.
  16. Could probably get St Johnstone to pay for Main. They're desperate and will generally buy anything.
  17. Can't believe how fast this year is flying by. In my head, transfer deadline day is at least six-eight weeks away yet. Can't believe it's nearly September.
  18. I think Ayunga looks like he'd be brilliant with a pure poacher playing very close to him. He can cause havoc, but he might not be the guy to apply the finish all the time. I think we all hope Brophy could be the man - I can imagine him feeding off the sort of scramble-y loose balls that Ayunga creates in and around the box. Just need that fitness up. If not Brophy, I'd like to see Offord in and about the team a bit more. I sense Robinson wants a few more points on the board before the younger players get more game time, which is entirely reasonable.
