  1. Can believe they are still thinking the game will go ahead tomorrow!! Oh yeah, good news about the signing too...
  2. Don't get me wrong, I am a little bit concerned when you see the likes of Livi snapping up a fair few decent looking signings this window. But I think it is fair to say that at the start of the season Stevie was still learning about management at this level and we made a couple of signings that just didn't work out. So I can to an extent understand why he isn't rushing into too many deals. I am pretty sure he is actively on the lookout and will be right up until the last day of the window. How many full loans do we have left now anyway?
  3. Longest spell with any side was his 2 years at Hamilton. Knew he'd gone from club to club but didn't realise how bad it was! Haha
  4. As Moonster says... Or you may as well post it on here. Or at least go to the hassle of creating a new account to post it as a 'rumour'... not that we ask much.
  5. Does it make it difference if one of the loans is development? Not sure of ages and names of folk being suggested but think it does make a difference if I remember correctly.
  6. Pretty decent but never got too much of a chance with us. Murray didn't use him enough in my opinion. Should do a decent job in League 1. Wee bit of pace going forward and looked decent enough defensively.
  7. Interesting, but only if they are up to the standard we need/want! I am surprised about Jaz. He surely knew he would be on the bench all year? Also, he was happy to do it last season under Rogers so why not this? Possible he has came to the realisation that he is getting older/more unfit and needs to play but not sure why that has happened quite so suddenly.
  8. To be 100% completely honest I think it is fair to say that is his level anyway. Knew there was no way he was leaving without something else lined up though.
  9. Not just a few things up their sleeve, but they better get a move on as I reckon we need a couple of bodies in for the weekend! Cawley doesn't work on the wing (especially on the left) for me and Gallacher is a tryer and everything but still hasn't convinced me - in any position. Then there's the (lack of) striker situation to be addressed...
  10. I'd imagine the club wouldn't have stood in his way if he had needed time off and would have understood completely his situation. More to it I reckon. Would not be surprise to see him sign elsewhere in the coming weeks.
  11. Said it on the Alloa match thread and will say it again. He is everything I expected Darren Barr to be. Strong, consistent, aware, leads the back line more and is a solid defender. Since his settling in period (2 games) he has been excellent. I'd rather he was captain and got a chance alongside Buchanan. But that won't happen I don't think.
  12. All proceeds to DFC. We'd be buying Messi in January.
  13. Could always have a bit of a party night with various bands/entertainment. I know there are a few good bands amongst our support. Failing that, Moonster and BBPF could get their band back together and easily sell out the CID?
  14. To be fair,it wasn't that different today. Only Ross out (who was rank in Dumfries) and Saunders back in who is a natural RB. Pushing Brown up one to the midfield.
  15. Wow! Garry Fleming is not a natural striker and is definitely not a player who could score anywhere near 20 in a season at this level. He has missed more chances than anyone in the team this season. Many of them pretty bad misses. He is best deployed in the middle of the park, but we don't have any other strikers and have too many central midfielder's to make that work.
  16. Yep, Sneak is moving south I think as well as having been working and playing matches. Too much on and I believe he didn't renew his season ticket for this year.
  17. Was pretty happy with what was a relatively harmless meet the manager session today. Stevie recognised where we need to strengthen and made the changes for today's match which we went on to win. A nice change from the very stubborn approach Ian Murray always seemed to take. Doesn't seem afraid to admit where he has gone wrong and not scared to change things when they clearly aren't working.
  18. Well that is exactly the thing. What do we have going forward? Creatively, absolutely nothing thus far. As I say, he may not be the answer in any way, shape or form but that's why I said a short term contract. Surely he wants to play rather than being a free agent. Maybe a rolling contract or a couple of months. If funds would allow of course! Likewise to Thommo I heard Hibs had him on trial but that was 6 weeks ago and not heard anything since so assume he still hasn't a club.
  19. Just realised that Dylan Easton is a free agent after leaving St Johnstone in August. I reckon we lack someone who is a little bit creative going forward. Would he be worth a short term contract?
  20. On the last few weeks showings we are nowhere near creative enough in the midfield for it to make any difference playing 2 strikers. I agree we must change and look to be more of a threat but midfield changes are also required IMO.
  21. Think he is the best football player we have at the team to he honest! Very good. Only negative for me is when we are behind he still tries to slow the game to suit himself. So frustrating to see last week when we were down vs Alloa. Looked as though we were the team winning the way we were playing, instead of being more urgent and going at them. I get that the whole team played pretty slowly but that is how Routledge plays all the time, which is great when we are drawing/winning.
