  1. On 15th June you said 1. Morton2. Dundee Utd3. Dunfermline4. ICT5. Raith6. Queen's Park7. Arbroath8. Partick9. Ayr10. Airdrie So do we all get two picks, a bit like having 2 x 8 from 10's on the football pools or is this just a revised prediction?
  2. 1. Dundee Utd 2. Ayr U 3. Partick T 4. Morton 5. ICT 6. Raith Rov 7. Dunfermline 8. Arbroath 9. Queen's Park 10. Airdrie
  3. Arbroath 1 - 1 Dundee United Dunfermline 1 - 3 Airdrie Morton 3 - 1 Ayr ICT 1 - 1 Queens Park Partick Thistle 3 - 1 Raith Rov
  4. Get a life, what did you want another trip to Motherwell. MCT accounts division has just popped the champers. They better blockade themselves on Monday or Dougie will steal their sweeties. Go get them boy and let's focus on 2023/24 Championship race.
  5. That will do me v Rangers away. Let's be honest, gets us a cash injection and should allow MCT directors to release the cash needed to get a few signings over the line and on to a good championship challenge again.
  6. Ah the banter. On the footballing front expect a feast that probably could go either way. Come on the Ton.
  7. So they know what score they need to get through. Big concern Dodds put out a few squad players as they are out already. Bigger question, who picked the St Johnstone side? Do they hate RR?
  8. I think you should have a recheck on that GD. Ton are +4 (7 v 3), RR (5 v 3) and Dundee are +2 (4 v 2). So you both need +3 on the Ton's final game score assuming all three win. Note Ton have already scored 7 goals, v RR 5 and Dundee 4 I am not happy Dundee are playing Sunday v ICT and will know what is needed, unless we Hibs it!
  9. Well as I see it, this is now in Dougie/team's capable hands. Yes progress in the LC would likely gather in the required funds that cover an additional player. So what hope have we. From looking at LC sectional tables I am confident we can progress. Expect Livingston to grab one of the spots. So it's 2 from 3 out of Morton, Dundee and Raith Rovs. I expect all three to win. So currently we are +4 on GD and both of them are +2 on GD. So we need to maintain that differential. Aka we must deliver a +2 result on Saturday. I think our biggest concern will be the fixture advantage that Dundee have been given that their final game is at home to ICT on SUNDAY, although surely ICT can hold out at at better than 4v0. Well at least it makes for an interesting weekend which I hope we put to bed on Saturday.
  10. As last year, Dougie is can rattling. Losing Baird is disappointing but this is what happens in a physical game. Expect the board to be familiar with Dougie's play. Must be said we do need at lease two more players and progress in the LC would influence the standard of player we eventually attract. Lone players are in the hit and miss category. The Telegraph, is I am sure, a shoe string operation now and as such will print any submitted articles that don't land it in the courts. So maybe it is time for VT to take up a residency on a once weekly basis giving us all hope there is some substance to what appears in that rag..
  11. A bigger concern. Just been told by BIL that Qp v QOS is sold out!!!!! Looks like we will have ticket issues. Need update on expansion provisions for Championship clubs visiting. Morton will probably have to ballot season ticket holders.
  12. Could have done with some water. But grass looked good if just a bit long.
  13. I think that is a fair assessment of what he brings to a team. Over the years Morton have lost a few goals form his area and hence why Dougie felt no great need to renew his contract. That said he is still maturing and probably needed a change that gives him new challenges and a opportunity to mature as a left back. So could go either way, new coaching and development resulting in a successful period in the SPL or ends with a bit part and moves on again next year but worth a shot I would say. Best luck to the boy for all his effort for the Ton over the last few years.
  14. Sadly from my view looked like he has broken his wrist. Hope I am wrong but looked out of line with his arm. If so will need an operation and might play with a cast after 6 weeks.
  15. Have Livi dropped the aspirations of getting £250,000 in development fees? Or was that just looking for some small change from Brighton had they taken him on.
  16. Is this the official predictor thread? Is JM doing a RossbFaeDundee this season.
  17. Maybe we are checking ST sales and confirmed income for 23/24 before we do a Partick T and gamble with getting promoted to the Premiership. Same as last year, but with a decent backbone of players already contracted . So once agents have tried hawking their clients at inflated wages and getting rejected some will realise that what Morton are offering is as good as it gets plus the opportunity of bonuses to top it up and live to fight another day. Dougie has shown he is good at poker so let's see how it goes.
  18. I love Friday night games so you will be lucky boys (and girls being PC correct)
  19. Brian Schwake released in Livingston in cost cutting measures. I felt he was a better than average goal keeper for us last year, in particular held shots/headers and didn't palm them away causing defender panics. Young goal keeper who has lots of time to improve. Yes, Dougie had a shot at him for what he seen as a few lapses but think it was be a decent signing as no sign of a Yashin coming of the woodwork so far May be D is still on holiday or playing his ace later on.
  20. Need to be cheered up, where do the Celic fans post ? Just incase the wee angry man gets a result!
  21. I see Dundee U as all good news. Won't need to add a new destinations for sat nav. Know where the good parking is located and eateries Always like a city mini break. As for the Premier playoff please please please let Ross C win. Don't fancy two trips up Inverness way PT are a decent derby and carry an away support Get it right up big Graham Dunfermline again a decent away trip, ground and recent happy hunting ground plus nearly guaranteed home win. Airdrie nonplussed a while since I last visited. Remember parking at ground and hooligans stoning us on the way up a ramp to exit. Though this maybe shite and an induced drunken dream. Let's go one better in 23/24
  22. It's sad to see such a high profile football professional decend to this level, but that's the power of Fawkirk. What nursing home is he speaking from?
