Talbot I think were the most on 16. For them to finish above you boys on points and goal difference when they played a quarter of their season in 2 weeks sums up the standard of Clydebank.
I would say that Talbot deserve much credit for that achievement, great effort from them. Sums up their standard rather than Bankies.

On a quiet news day, someone should start a thread where posters can list their top 5 favourite and least favourite clubs in the WoSFL and the reasons why. What fun we will have!
Need to give the mods a 4 minute warning on that one!

Clydebank are not my favourite club but it's actually a shame how quickly this thread got hijacked.
Second favourite JB?

Attendance was 530. Doubt very much there were more Clydebank fans there than Pollok. No way of knowing for sure I suppose! Nevertheless, if I’m wrong, congratulations on winning the ‘We Had More Fans’ trophy!
530, very poor. How many would there have been if it had been played on F…..

Totally agree it's a shocker having all finals up there . Couldn't think of many worse venues.
A top junior ground is more than ample for the west of Scotland cup final in particular .
You’re right PC Cabe/Hertha/Jackdaw but why play the West of Scotland final in Dundee, the nearest Junior ground I would think.

If Hearts B had topped LL , EK would still be in the playoffs as an eligible club. Not quite the same, but not a lot different.

Our inexperience in procedures is very apparent when you look at the ticket carry on, we started selling tickets for a game at Beechwood
Hi Rhuby, I was disappointed, obviously, with the result on Saturday but the Darvel people were brand new. Certainly no animosity, even the mini-ultras had a laugh with our supporters. Don’t know why you hate us.
Also , I may have misread things, I’m a bit lost I must admit by the fact that Darvel were selling tickets for Beechwood when it’s not a ticketed match. Normally the home team provides the tickets.

Aye should go back to playing on red ash pitches with whippet tracks round the sides. Thems the good old days.
Red blaes was smooth black ash. Rhuby, was black ash artificial surface?

Bankies could play Broxburn in the play off final next free Saturday for both was that not decided a few months ago
My name is Lindsay Hoyle and I have decided that it will be a three way playoff. Apologies for political comment but South of Scotland League are allowed a say in this too.

So you don't think Pollok might attract outsiders that don't live in Shawlands. They might even have season tickets for elsewhere in Glasgow and enjoy a visit to Newslandsfield when the big team is away or maybe playing on a Sunday.
Come to think of it, why do Clydebank play a lot of games on a Friday night?
Think we have played twice on a Friday, I know at least one of them was at the opposition’s request. U20’s play on Friday’s.

Nicky lowe 500 quid a week though surely even that dwarves darvel?
It’s Nicky Low, and your estimation of £500 is way too low. I take it that you are the Clydebank treasurer Hertha/PC Cabe? See you Saturday.

The SJC is the best non-league cup in Scotland, South Challenge is very poorly run and prize money is shocking, West of Scotland Cup not taking particularly serious. Even the superstars of our league, Clydebank, got it handed to them in final of the South Challenge Cup after failing to remotely compete with Talbot.
The Lowland league is the league no one wants to be in, zero crowds, plastic pitches galore, higher costs, further travel. I have yet to see an agruement that the lowland league is a league fans want to be in or a league that anyone really takes note of. It is the graveyard league.
I thought that I had been to every Bankies game last season, must have been on holiday for that one. I was at the West final where Talbot deservedly won.
In ten years or so the Lowland League will be of a higher standard and be a very competitive division, it’s already evolving towards that.

My frustration is that same teams getting handed mid week games all the time then teams like Largs, Beith etc…are never losing Saturday match revenue. We are being punished by hosting mid week games due to having lights instead of playing games on a Saturday. Missing out on home Saturday games to the likes of talbot, pollock and nannies the three best supported clubs is a killer for teams. Mid week games should be scheduled for all teams, if they don’t have lights then forefeet the points, how can you run a club when you are being permanently penalised and the same teams running away with the cream all the time. We are in a difficult enough financial before being penalised for having floodlights. Time to play fair @Kennie
Nannies! Well I suppose we’ve been called worse.

But are they putting money in to our level of football? Gartcairn and St. Cadoc’s have raised the bar, wage wise, which causes financial problems for teams in their own league trying to acquire players but bring nothing in monetary benefit in away games whilst reaping the benefits of large supports at their home games.
