I am sure that we will get a boost when the injured players ie Russell,Dallas,Gallagher,McLaughlin,Sideserf and McGregor(May be a while)are available and also Longmuir and Gary McCann are fully fit again.
And big Dom Larkin is strong but I think his lack of pace-he lumbers about like big Chris Walker used to do-will ultimately be the reason he won’t succeed with the first team.I hope I am proven wrong but that’s my gut feel.
Absolutely.Finalists there because they fully deserve to be and it keeps it fresh that new sides are reaching the final(much as I would have liked us to have been there!).Beechwood is a very good set up for a final and hopefully it will be a good game on the day.Good luck to both on 13th October!
Well done and deserved Lanark-played very well and despite being twice behind nippy forward play and 3 great finishes caught us napping at the back.Lanark were up for it and played the perfect game plan whereas we looked complacent and that we just needed to turn up to win.And what happens when you do that...
Byrne is a decent full back and will be solid albeit not spectacular although he will get exposed by pace as we saw.You are starting to pick up results and that’s what we thought would happen when we saw you at Newlandsfield.
Decent post amongst some bitter rants.Pollok were poor again and didn’t deserve much out of that game.Maybe a draw would have been fair but we didn’t create chances or test the keeper, albeit Kilbirnie didn’t do that much either. There will be plenty of games like that to come this season where slim margins will tip the balance but well done to Kilbirnie on seeing out the result.Long way to go in this league and our aim has to be to try to stay close to the main contenders rather than drift away as we did last season with a series of poor early results.
Lok didn’t play well and Clydebank did.Fortunate to scrape through on penalties.Good luck to Clydebank this season-despite previous results if they play like tonight consistently they will do fine.
As I said great to see a set up getting upgraded.I know the Council own the ground so are they also funding all of the improvements-if so great result but presume they want other users on the park?If they don’t that is a great outcome.
That 2nd half at Pollok in the junior cup was great like , brilliant crowd that day as well.
Yes brilliant atmosphere and crowd that day but us Lok fans preferred the first half lol-we were well on top and should have opened up a lead but just couldn’t put the ball away-which you have to do when presented with chances against Auchinleck.
It doesn’t seem that long ago that Bathgate were receiving huge cash injections from Willie Hill!Built a very strong squad but these things don’t ever last-as we have seen in the West many times!
I think the Auchinleck victory over Ayr was the best result so far achieved by a junior side against any senior team.Ayr for much of last season going for promotion to the Premiership.
