I wonder what will be finished first? Your refit of the boat or the completion of the Sagrada Familia. It should be a close run thing.

Unfortunately Sam Robson just doesn't appear to have it. His technique isn't great and he has gotten worse as the summer has progressed. Hales would be an opener who would most closely resemble Banger in playing style and would be worth a try. On the Ali debate I feel that he really has to work hard on his game over the coming few months as although his bowling has been a great bonus he is primarily a batsmen and needs to improve, though he is worth persevering with. At least the test summer has finished with a great deal of promise for the future, especially considering how things looked a few months ago.

Halliwell was with Sauchie Juniors for the last couple of seasons. Reasonable experienced keeper as a back up. -
It's his cousin.

Bloody hell they built the QE2 quicker than you have done this refit. Your 38 mate, that counts as middle aged

More importantly sailor, when is the middle aged boys day out?

Bet you don't even have a cat of nine tails? Captain? Midshipman more like

Indeed, however the tinkering and over coaching had already started prior to him becoming a persistent offender. If he plays I'm looking forward to seeing how he does.

Steven Finn is potentially a fantastic cricketer. The poor treatment of him is similar to what Jimmy Anderson got in the early part of his England career, where they over coached him and fannied about with his action until he lost all rhythm and confidence, Finn's pace and extra bounce will made all the difference to this England attack. No disrespect to guys like Rankin, Plunkett and Jordan but Finn is at a different level to them. I hope the time away has allowed him to regain the confidence and action that made him so dangerous in the first place. Now that Stuart Broad is carrying injuries and is not so prolific a wicket taker a rejuvenated Finn is what England need. So what he goes for a few, but Broad can more than hold up an end and keep it tight. Good to see him back,

Na, that's Ian Paisley.

I have just seen the allocated test grounds for next years fixtures and again a massive kick in the baws for Northern cricket fans. We have the obligatory three tests in London, one in that easily accessible cricketing mecca that is Cardiff, one at Trent Bridge and one at Edgbaston. Only Headingly has a test at the end of May, while Durham misses out for the second year running. It looks like Old Trafford despite being a good venue is only going to get tests every other year, and Durham is getting royally shafted. Why can't they occasionally miss out the Oval, or heavens forbid only give Lords one test per summer (yes I know tourists love to play at Lords), as right now cricketing fans in the North are getting a right royal shafting. The allocation of tests is decidedly unfair, and with the Rose Bowl, getting added to the list we fans in the North will have considerably fewer options in future years to watch Test cricket. Furthermore the ECB are charging clubs an absolute fortune to host tests meaning us the fans are getting hammered at the ticket office, not to mention the recent trend in developing five day make as much cash as you can wickets. It's a dear couple of days at the cricket now. Anyway back to today's play, where the wicket should do something so hopefully Cook will put them in if he wins the toss. Broad should have a big impact on this surface, and hopefully Buttler will have a good debut.

Seeing as you're a sprog you can be in charge of fetching the beer for us old timers.

More importantly SJC, I have a question. Adlington, Confi and I want to know when the middle aged boys barge trip is?
-
You're welcome sailor.

He could let you have a ride on it. Imagine that, a Viking back on the waters of Scotland after all these years.

Reported for soiling a great thread with your presence landlubber. You should be made to clean the bilges laddie, before either walking the plank or being keelhauled around the entire fleet of Edinburgh's canal barges.

Definitely, it's the P&B version of Groundhog Day.

Especially as the majority of his posts are in the BRALT thread, a thread that has now become more painful than being stuck in Dante's nine circles of hell.
