Olly Pope the Surrey lovechild who is great on a flat track against county bowlers and benefits from playing at the Oval. The worst player of spin bowling I have ever seen and a gutless spineless jellyfish. Leach, tries hard but basically shite, why not Parkinson, give him a go for goodness sake. Of course maybe they will go with Brook, I hope so.

    If those in charge had any sense they would have let Ukraine advance to the finals automatically and allowed us and the mutton molesters to play off. What difference would one more team make in a unique World Cup played at a terrible time of year, bought by bribery, and stadiums constructed by workers who were nothing more than slaves and whom many lost their lives. Not to mention a regime that's views of homosexuality should have seem them banned from hosting anything. Anyway I digress, but Ukraine should have been permitted entry to show how the "football family" unites.

    I think that if Halkett is fit and we don't get anymore injuries then I fancy our chances tbh. They will be knackered mentally and physically after Europa final so its a fantastic opportunity for us. Need to take our chances though.

    Wad at Test Match Special show last night in Edinburgh. Aggers was excellent and Tuffers was good though he completely made up a story which I don't think is required when he has so much material available to him. According to him he faced Merv Hughes at the Waca with Dickie Bird umpiring and had an anecdote about it. Dickie never umpired an Australia v England Test or Odi on their soil. He did umpire a legends game in 2007 in Perth however neither Hughes or Tufnell played. Just think when you have so much material blatantly making stuff up is a tad poor and not needed.

    Ten with a speculative effort on the band. Good start to the season for the troops after last seasons promotion. Hopefully lads can keep momentum up, maybe need a signing or two before window closes but I have faith in the group.
