  1. Yeah, thats him. There are parallels between the two tbh, both can make outstanding saves but dont have the required concentration for routine saves which make them regularly appear on gaffe reels.
  2. I meant as in a bit of running joke amongst fans, Bogdan is probably still better though.
  3. Thats my thinking really. I think he will stay for the 10 in a row charge then leave, Rodgers will probabky do the same. Assuming we get it he will only be 24 by then so not as if hes going to miss the boat now.
  4. If the designer was aiming for an old aston villa top with bleach spilt down the front of it hes nailed it imo.
  5. So so, I dont think we would have signed him in January had our other winter signing Compper stayed fit but hes done ok when required. We have had both Simunovic and Boyata linked with moves away so he could get more opportunities yet. We tried him at right back for some reason which I didnt agree with but at least thats better than not playing at all I suppose. Our best defender now though IMO is Ajer where Hendry is some way off him yet is several years older than him. Many fans moan about our central defence but going by Rodgers comments this summer he is content with what hes got, however nobody is currently head and shoulders above the rest yet so positions are very much up for grabs.
  6. He may be a world champion window licker, a ‘champ’ if you wish, but I dont think it pulls much of a crowd
  7. I think people are seeing silly fees going on in the EPL and are just assuming ours will multipy by the same rate. The trickle down effect should push some fees up but generally the scottish top league is selling to the english championship whos tv money hasn’t gone up the same rate.
  8. Ah I had assumed he had played some games after his injury since Hull offered him a new deal. Im guessing hes had a few setbacks too as the wiki article link had him only out for 6 months initially
  9. Haven’t heard of him and not one to get too excited about but his wiki is impressive enough, starting off in the lower leagues before making moves to bigger clubs for more money. He was out for 18 months which is a concern but Hull did offer him a contract so he must have recovered well enough Im guessing. Right back is my biggest concern for me so glad we are addressing it.
  10. I would agree despite scoring a few for Hibs last year he got binned for being a waster, then went abroad and got binned for doing the same. Hes been in decline for year but this year he appears to be on self destruct mode.
  11. Just read about it on the Beeb website where they mention Stanley Matthews playing for Morton?
  12. Dont know where you have got thise figures from but you can hardly call him a fanny for joinhing them. Hes most likley got a wage several times his own. Very worst gets paid off a wedge and could easily then join a bigger scottish club than St.Mirren with no strings as getting binned by Sunderland seems to do little in they way of sullying your reputation these days, especially if you dont really have one in England. Best case is he has joined a big club in England in a lower league with new owners and can now start seeing about a promotion charge to the championship and above. I dont see how he can lose to be honest.
  13. Its class when you see supposed arrogant types on here throw their opinions/predictions out as gospel yet wont offer a small sum of money to back it up. We can now at least file pep under the idiot poster file rather than troll as a troll would have taken up your offer to show face with no intention of paying up.
  14. Didnt someone post on here about meeting him in a mates house or something and said he was thick as f**k? After hearing him the other week it wouldn’t suprise me. I should really hate him like most Celtic fans but I dont. He gave his all when at us but it just didnt happen and was also (understandably) chased out by Lawell when we were offered a good fee. It came to bite us in the arse when he came back to Rangers by scoring for fun against us but hes not the dirty or diving type to bringthe seethe out in me ala Novo. The way he lead the line for Scotland and carried them at times shows he may have some leadership capabilities who isnt afraid of pressure. Still think its a fair risk by Livingston though but Im guessing they were struggling to get anyone of note in terms of managerial experience.
  15. You dont hear him speaking much in the media but I heard him on sportsound a few weeks ago and he just sounded like your typical mouth breathing footballer. Having said that he is a player who got the very most out his talent and is one of few scottish footballers who has played abroad. It is an interesting appointment but it may have made sense playing another season first as a player/coach perhaps. Im guessing he thought the chances of getting a first club in the top league as a novice again would be very unlikely .
  16. I think many are seeing parallels with Brown who wont be around forever. Brown, like Mcginn, isn't technique wise particularly strong at anything. He spent his first 2 years with us struggling to influence games and generally running around like a headless chicken before adjusting his game slowly and then getting better year on year Which is why I think you have hit the nail on the head with shaping Mcginn to be Browns successor.
  17. Is this the same Trevor Carson who at the age of 30 made his debut for the failed statelet this year? Comparing his fee with Edouard is even more bizarre. The alleged 9 million I believe has a fair amount of add ons and the guy is about a decade younger than Carson playing in a position which generally commands much more money. But yes if you are going to a bigger club you generally are expected to pay more as more often than not they have better players or ones with more potential which is why we generally dont buy from them.
  18. 325k is hardly a laughable bid for a guy who spent the majority of his career around the lower leagues. Considering you paid what was it less than 10 grand was it 6 months before it? I can totally understand why Motherwell turned it down but I didnt even want Celtic paying that much for a journeyman keeper who would ultimately be 3rd choice. We generally pay the going for Scottish players as we have off beaten off clubs with similiar budgets down south (higher end of the championship) when bidding for the likes of Hayes and Armstrong.
  19. I would imagine many clubs would be after Schar if his relegation release clause turns out to be true. Somebody mentioned about not being able to sign anyone to improve the team straight away. I cant remember the last player we signed somebody who did, Sinclair most likely. Due to an inflated market and a team who perform above their wages/fees against higher end english teams this will forever remain the case. I like it though, seeing the likes of Rogic to take 2 years to make a proper impact and to what he is now gives me a fair bit of satisfaction.
  20. See below my little seething simpleton x x Yeah the clubs/leagues he was been at shows hes been pretty much on a downward trajectory. A lot of which are loan deals where they have opted to not make it permenant even when he has scored a couple which is quite an indication of his overall attitude.
  21. Problem for anybody wanting Watt isn't really his ego or anything imo, football is just a job for him, nothing more. He has undoubted talent but its accepting that he won’t strive to improve and that it may upset other squad players. A team at the lower end of the table may accept this but I fear it would end up being detrimental to a team like Aberdeen. Its a great shame really as Scotland are crying out for another striker.
