Whilst I admit he may have to move on to fulfill his potential he is only 20 ffs. In that time he has captained Celtic, played in Europe and played for his country amongst other achievements. I Robertson at that point was just becoming professional, plenty of time for him to develop a bit more at Celtic first.

His net spend was about 20 odd million over 5 years. Not to be sniffed at but not exactly a fortune for a club of our size.

Hes not a carbon copy but his tenacity is really what we are looking for. For me Brown was a totally different player at hibs but had to adjust his game as attacking wise he wasnt as good as Robson/Nakamura etc. Paul Hartley had to do the same. Brown took way longer than Hartley to adjust which is why I would rather have Mcginn in now to learn off Brown to make the transition easier.

Yeah I would rather speak to them now and ask if they are staying or going and lining up players now and agreeing fees before they know we have a wedge in out pocket. Mcginn is a must for me now as he can replace Armstrong or in a few years Brown. Either way I would rather get somebody in now to learn off Brown before he goes, which we should have done with Van Dijk too. Replacing Rogic will be more of a tall order though.

As class as I think he is I have doubts over his fitness for the EPL. I can see him and Armstrong leaving but I think we will miss him most as he is a big game player.
